Halloween fright night spooky stories wake the living dead.

Oct 2020 update: every four years now demon possessed people run to become President and half of Americans vote to make that happen. The living dead among us gave us Clinton and Obama and now they want to give us Biden/Harris. The only thing scarier than that combination would be Hillary/Harris. With the Biden scandals becoming exposed, dark forces may still make that happen should Biden win but have to withdraw before he takes the oath of office. The original article follows

It has been a short and warped Halloween tradition of mine to write about spooky things or to allow others to tell their own spooky stories. I think we can use fright-night to help wake up the living dead (brain-dead) among us. Besides, for us warped humans that live and die with regularity, spooky stories on Halloween can remind us that we are mere mortals. They also can be entertaining. 😈

I believe my first spooky story for Halloween was written in 2009. It was about Obama being Rosemary’s baby. The frightening thing about that story is that if I wrote it today, I would not change much. Obama’s history is stranger than fiction. The fact that he became President for two terms is way more scary for America than anything I can dream up.

I wrote a follow-up Halloween article about Obama and some other chilling things in a unified conspiracy theory fit for Halloween. The main thing that I would change in that article is that I no longer conjecture that Malcolm X was Obama’s real father. I and others now believe that Obama’s real father was Frank Marshall Davis. His real father and admitted mentor was even more radical than Malcolm X.

Americans certainly are into Halloween tradition. Wal-Mart starts stocking stuff for Halloween by mid-summer. Halloween outsells every other holiday other than Christmas. Every four-years it is the Halloween tradition for Americans to nominate the scariest people possible for President. This year Americans have outdone themselves with the nomination of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Donald is a cartoon figure and Hillary is a Witch.

Hillary should be in jaill

Hillary should be in jail

A hex on you Donald

A hex on you Donald

Hillary claims to have talked with the long dead Eleanor Roosevelt in the White House when the Clinton’s haunted the White House with their evil ways at the time that Bill was predator-in-chief. Hillary even created George Stephanopoulos. 😯  Hillary conjurers up dead spirits because she is a real Witch. She is not just someone who people claim acts like a witch, although she does. 👿

Vote your choice, the Witch or the Wardrobe – Hollywood make-believe, or the living dead demonic entity.  Enough here about politicians, they are just too scary. If our scary elections don’t wake the living dead, what will?

A couple of years ago I gave my more recent haunting experiences in my haunting of the Ozark hallows story.

I may have a few other haunting experiences but most of them are not worth writing about.  I have never even seen a UFO or a ghost. 😯   I am very good at scaring myself, but I can’t say doing that originates from anything outside of my own mind.

I still suffer PTSD from spooky things that we believed as kids. I would not want to be alone in a graveyard at night or even be alone in spooky places. After all, I would not want to wake the living dead there or the dead dead there. I have no love for zombies.

I also do not like dark basements. When I was a kid, a number of us talked ourselves into believing that we saw strange things moving in basements while looking through basement windows. I never felt comfortable in dark basements after that. It did not help that rats would occasionally get in the basement where I lived as a young lad. They could make things go bump in the night.

We lived next to a pipe-yard. The rats got big – real big. I will never forget the dark night that I carried two metal garbage cans from the back of the house to the front curb. While carrying the two cans by their handle, I saw what I first thought were two cats jumping out of the cans. The cats turned out to be two big rats. Need I say that from then on I started kicking garbage cans before picking them up?

At 16 or 17 years of age my cousin and I were dropped off in a deep wooded river gorge to camp for the weekend. There were no other people in the gorge. After dark it was pouring rain so we were in the tent. Suddenly something was approaching the tent roaring and making sounds as if it were a bear or something. It was circling the tent.

We knew it was no animal but we were not about to get soaked to try to find out who was crazy enough to act like that. It probably was nobody we knew because we were over an hour away from home and few people knew about the camping trip. Few teens even had cars in those days. It was only one person, what kind of person would even do that kind of prank alone? Nobody we knew ever confessed to doing it.

We declared in a loud voice that we had machetes and would come out of the tent with them. We had a propane lantern in the tent and we made sure that the reflection of our raised machetes appeared on the wall of the tent. The noise soon got fainter and then stopped. A couple of minutes later we heard a car door shut in the distance and an engine start.

Local prankster? Perhaps, but what kind of nut case stranger would come out in the pouring rain and walk around a tent roaring like a wild animal? The nearest town did have a state crazy house in operation back then. Maybe that explains it. That nut was not far from the tree.

In that same gorge on another trip four or five of us hiked up to an old boy-scout camp that was unoccupied. It was almost dark. Suddenly we heard a very loud scream that made our blood turn cold. We all ran down the trail to get away from whatever made that sound. There was only one road in and out of this remote unoccupied gorge so it could not have been a human hoax. No other car was down there but the car we came in.

In hindsight, I think it was a cougar, but back in those days we did not believe that cougars existed anywhere but out west and maybe in the Florida Everglades. Today, even in Missouri we  have occasional sightings of mountain lions. I guess it also could have been a Bigfoot? 🙄 We camped several times in that gorge after that but we never heard that sound again. We did start bringing 22 rifles with us. That remote gorge was a spooky place at night. Owls, and falling rocks from the 200 foot cliffs on each side of the river bed often broke the silence.

People went missing in that gorge. When hiking down the gorge river bed we saw missing person posters on trees. At least two people went missing in that gorge in the same year.  I have camped in hundreds of places since then but never found anywhere as spooky as that gorge. Maybe that is why we liked camping there. That river gorge is now day use only. I hear it was closed to camping because they had trouble down there at night.

Who knows, maybe spooky stories and spooky video’s create their own offspring. 👿 That would explain a lot of what is now going on in the world.

Maybe you have a haunting experience fit for Halloween that you want to share? Perhaps you can help wake the living dead among us.

As a young child, my parents moved into a rented old two story house in Eastern Oklahoma. The owner had told my dad someone had been killed in the house. We lived there 8 years. That house was haunted by something very bad. In the attic we experienced two red glowing eyes and growling. We saw someone leave the attic, dressed in 19th century attire, go into the front yard and disappear. My mom described as shadow, that looked like a kangaroo shadow move across the room, to where she was sleeping while dad was at work, and climb on top and try to smother her. That stopped when she called on Jesus name.

From all of that I learned that the “theory of evolution” is a made up lie because these spirits could not evolve as a part of natural science. I learned not to fear any of this evil supernatural stuff. The evil spirits and ghosts or something like them exist, HOWEVER, as a born again Christian, greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. Any attempt at frightening by a spirit is just an attempt by a devil to intimidate you. Call upon the Lord for help and resist the devil and he will indeed flee from you. There is a website called alienresistance.org which retells a lot of stories similar to what we experienced. I feel that there are some good lessons to be taught to children using these Halloween theme because at some point the need may arise to face some real evil spirit.

  2. Jim says:

That gorge you speak of was not in upstate NY was it Don? I know you grew up near Buffalo and Watkins Glenn is not too far from there.

  3. Don Koenig says:

One of forks of Cattaraugus Creek created that gorge. It is near Gowanda NY in the Southern Tier. We called that place “Forty Gorge”. People that live around there ought to check it out. It is a wild beautiful area.

  4. ~David says:

    Don,

Those big rats in that dark basement was actually a “prophetic vision” that you saw.

If Hillary is elected, it will be “prophecy fulfilled”…2 BIG rats (Bill & Hillary) scurrying around in what they will turn into a Dark Haunted Basement..,The White House.

Which will give us all PTSD !

The only thing that stands out for my earlly years trick or treating is when I went to a house by myself and the man who opened the door was dressed in a mask that scared me. I ran away spilling all of my candy and leaving it on the ground.I never went trick or treating sinces then. I know now that he didn’t know any better but it left a lasting impression on me. I was about seven at the time . Lots of water has gone under the bridge since then. More water coming down under the bridge now. Times are different. Who knows?

  6. Don Koenig says:

I guess you will not be haunting my door. It seems that few trick and treat anymore anyway. The mass insanity of grown-ups ruined it for us kids.

  7. Caitlin Lane says:

To get away from election stress I want to have some fun with this.
My grandma and grandpa lived in a small rural Kansas town. They also lived in the largest house in town. A wonderful house made of stone with 3 bedrooms and a sun room upstairs and 2 bedrooms plus on the main floor and an apartment with it’s own kitchen in the basement.
My grandpa died in the front bedroom and grandma never disposed of his clothes. They still hung in the closets and his ties still hung on the tie rack over their bed in the back bedroom.

I have a cousin, Billy, who loved to tell scary stories but he always ended up being the most scared. One Christmas when all the family were at grandmas for a few days we were having supper at our uncle’s across town and when it was time to leave Billy said he, my little brother and I would walk back to grandmas. When we got there the house was dark and Billy chose me as the one to stick my hand through the doorway and turn on a light. (Billy’s a year older than I.)
The three of us rushed in and jumped on the couch, kind of huddled together on one end.

Just a few minutes later Billy hushed us because he heard a creaking on the stairs. Did we hear it? Yes we did. It was grandpa coming down the stairs, Billy said so. We listened and whispered to each other about how close grandpa was getting to the bottom and any minute he would fling open the stairway door and come stalking toward us. Suddenly Billy decided he had to go to the bathroom and he was taking my brother with him. I sat there in the half dark house by myself listening to grandpa coming down the stairs when I heard Billy calling to me from the bathroom.
“Katie, I can’t get the door unlocked. Come to the door and I’ll slide the key under the door and you unlock it from the outside.” (My rat cousin.)

As a 9 year old I believed I had a life or death decision to make. To get to the bathroom I had to either run through the bedroom where grandpa had died or go through the dark dining room and kitchen, and past the dark screened in back porch where something spooky lived. I don’t remember which route I chose but I know I ran. At the bathroom door my back was to the stairway and basement doors and grandpa was still on his way down so I had to hurry. Billy slid me the key and I set the boys free. We high-tailed it back to the couch and huddled. We heard our parents coming up the front porch then and we all jumped apart. When they came in Billy said, “Oh, you’re here already.” We never told them grandpa was coming down the stairs.

So, if you want to prowl through a cemetery at night, look for spook lights, spend the night in an abandoned asylum or a forest where people have disappeared pick me. I love it.

    Tales of the Crypt

  9. James Kraft says:

My scary story is what churches are preaching today as false doctrine. Lordship salvation. Instead of a work of grace where Christ’s righteousness is imputed to the believer, we can now be saved by following Jesus and doing good works. Some preachers I use to listen to have bought in to this false doctrine of salvation by works. Paul said if we preach any other gospel than the gospel of grace, we should be accursed.

When Jesus comes in to our lives by trusting in His finished work on the cross, He begins to work in us to lead us in to paths of righteousness which only He can do. Man always wants to add His own work which takes the glory from God for saving sinners, and give that glory to himself in one way or another.

We now have Word of Faith false doctrine, the Prosperity Gospel, and a host of other gospels being taught. But, I guess we should not be surprised as the Lord said it would be this way in the last days. Satan has infiltrated the organized church to a degree I thought I would never see in my lifetime.

So that is my scary story and I am sticking to it. Jesus said when He returns will He find faith on the earth. For those trusting in there own righteousness instead of the righteousness of Christ by faith, it is going to be a scary story.

  10. Don Koenig says:

I agree, the churches of America can be a very scary place. I will be visiting one tomorrow that is combining services and changing its format. I hope their music does not try to bring down spirits.

  11. Stephen says:

My best friend and I were fishing on the 110 acre lake in my back yard when we were about 13 years old. I lived 20 miles south of Birmingham, AL out in the country. I had never fished past sunset and we were headed back home in my 14’ aluminum flat bottom boat with a trolling motor and it was pitch black dark. All of a sudden we heard giant stones hitting the water around us. The splash, the sound and the distance from shore of these boulders being thrown at us could not be by a human. We thought Bigfoot was throwing these stones at us from shore over 100 yards away or they were falling out of the sky but we could not see them in the dark. Needless to say we were scared sheetless and my buddy was crying like a baby. We came to find out in our next few fishing trips that summer that these sounds were not Squatch attacks but Beavers slapping their tales as we approached to close to warn there Beaver buddies that trouble was in the area. Scared, say scared!!

  12. Don Koenig says:

Good story that shows that what seems explainable at the time can often be explained after we get more information.

Don’t mess with Beavers. They could slap you silly.

  13. george says:

Stephen, I have heard the same thing that you described. I have also heard screech owls, Panthers screaming and tree limbs rubbing together making unusual sounds. My wife and I heard a baby crying on our front porch after midnight years ago. Went to investigate and turned out it was a female cat in heat . Stange things happen in the animal kingdom . I have seen black runner snakes towering through the brush standing on their tails with their heads a above the grass. I have seen a king snake constrickting a copperhead to death. The world is full of surprises especially as we get older. That’s for just starting.

  14. Phil Qualls says:

Don, this article seems more in line with the Halloween article. I know to try to keep on topic. Talk about your latest general title for you blog “age of depravity”.

  15. ~David says:

    Hello Phil,

I realize you’re just reporting a news story, however, that is truly grotesque.

I would guess Satan gets laughs at what he can inspire humans to perform, like this.

That being said, I do not trust anything from Alex Jones & Infowars.

Alex Jones has a really twisted, self serving, and inaccurate view of Bible Exegesis in my opinion so I ignore his hogwash.

  16. Don Koenig says:

That story came from Paul Watson even through it also was on Alex Jones website. It is hard to believe that what this woman does is called art by some. It just shows more Romans One insanity.

  17. David L says:

    Hi Don,

Unless you plan to write about your recent visit to that new church, I was just curious how it went? But, if you’d rather reserve judgement till later, that’s fine too. Tomorrow is going to be a long, agonising day, and night. Maybe election day should be on Halloween. Seems more appropriate this year, especially.

Shoot, forgot to subscribe to this post, if you write in response, could you do it on the most recent article? Thanks.

  18. Don Koenig says:

I can’t do that. Nobody would know what I was talking about. You can subscribe to be notified of comments on the comment box.

I have no big problems with the worship service or the pastor’s teaching there. There was one song this week that I think should have been left out because the contemporary words contributed nothing. That is common with contemporary Christian songs. I have not tried Sunday school or anything else there.

  19. Dawson R Hefner says:

I will take a shot at it though I must admit this story isnt exactly normal Halloween fright material.

It is a tail of legalism, no rapture(comfort eachother with…nothing) and no security for the believer, very frightening indeed.

It all started the other day when I shared a post on facebook asking how the republican party is racist after swearing in a woman by a black man. A few commentators popped up and one without much to say indicated he disagreed. All well for the most part, but then it happened. A man whom I have considered a good friend and mentor type, even served as best man at my wedding pops up and says 1 tim 2:12 “I do not permit a woman to teach or assume authority over a man; she must be quiet.” Dont shoot the messenger he says, and lets see how many dont like the bible. Later, talking to him on the phone he brings this up. I tell him this passage is talking about church government and has nothing to do with civil authority. He tells me I dont believe the bible and I am one of those people, those non bible believers. He says, he just believe exaxtly what it says, and it says no women leaders.” I tell him I can not accept that, things get ugly. Eventually, he says I bet you believe osas too, thats just baptist dogma. My response was well, John 10:28-30 says no one can be removed from God’s hand. His reply “Nobody else can but you can.” Then it goes to hebrews and finally he says there are 100’s of scriptures I can show you. You gotta work work work to stay saved. Its getting really scary now. Next he says, you know what else is baptist fluff? The rapture. That aint gonnna happen pre trib either because baptists invented the rapture in the 1800s. We have to face the antichrist he says. Thessalonians says so. Very scary stuff. I said rapture was taught at least as early as 300 a.d., Paul seemed to teach on it. He didnt believe me. Moving on, He says King james only, old version or its herrassy and all new translations after 1950’s are satinc plot to water down Gods word and so on…so we left off on im supposed to go read up so I can know I can lose my salvation, and it had better be king james. Any of you women out there owning business with mail employees etc. Better sell out, paul said your out of line. All very scary, spooky positions and a quiet disturbing mess to hear considering ive known this man a long time and looked up to him. The relationship is being reevaluated. Please excuze my poor grammar, and choppy wording, im shaking in fear… I voted for trump who nominated a woman, may not be working hard enough to be saved, and expect to see the antichrist coming for my head any day with my hope being the hope to be beheaded.

Thankfully its mostly a dream and God really does keep us saved, promise the rapture, and allow women to lead in some areas. Betty crocker can keep making cakes until the cancel culture sends her to school too.

Seriously, hurts pretty bad my friend went off the deep end, old enough to be my dad and a father figure of sorts, hate to see him so mixed up like this. Pray for us both please.

  20. Don Koenig says:

    Hi Dawson,

Turn your friend on to the teachings of Dr. Andy Woods so he may be delivered from demonic legalism and salvation through self effort.

  21. Jim says:

I don’t have any scary stories but a Hillary/Harris ticket would probably top the list.

  22. Dawson R Hefner says:

Thats exactly what I intend to do Don, ive been studying his 13 proofs of OSAS as of yesterday and this morning. I really like how matter of fact and calm he lays stuff out.
