2016 Presidential Candidates: Fiorina, Rubio and Cruz

In my last article on the 2016 Presidential Candidates I gave my perspectives on the Democrats, and on Trump and Carson. In this article I will focus on Fiorina, Rubio and Cruz. I think these are now the second tier candidates according to latest polls although polls do differ.

Carly Fiorina: Fiorina is conservative on most of the issues but on a few of the issues she is surprisingly liberal. Frankly, with her lack of qualifications for the job I do not know why she is even in the presidential race. Perhaps as the only woman in the GOP race she thinks she would have a good chance of being picked as the Vice President candidate.

In Fiorina’s only other bid for public office she could not even beat Barbra Boxer for Senate. The race was not even close. She lost by 10 percent. Fiorina had been rising in the polls in that race until Boxer ran ads about Fiorina’s record as CEO of Hewitt Packard.

Thirty thousand people were laid off at one point when she was CEO of HP. And when HP started hiring again many of the new jobs went to lower paid foreigners. The effective ad by Barbra Boxer that killed Fiorina’s Senate bid was about the $100 million compensation package that Fiorina received as CEO of HP as thousands of people lost their careers. Florina was fired from HP in 2005 and she has never held a major corporation CEO position since.

So, what makes anyone think that in a national election for President that the Democrats would not run the same kind of ads against Fiorina and use these same issues against her in the debates?

When the media is feeding you all the ammunition as in the 2nd Republican debate, a good debate performance is not hard to pull off. The media wanted a woman running and they helped her look good in the debates so she got a bump in the polls. However, as people find out about the real Fiorina that bump will deflate.

Fiorina worked in the McCain campaign. While in that position she was asked in a radio interview if Palin and McCain had the qualifications necessary to even run a major company like HP?  She said no. That statement apparently did not go over well with those running the campaign. A Fiorina appearance on TV was cancelled and Fiorina no longer did future media interviews for the McCain Palin campaign.

This candidate can sound pretty good when she is promoting herself, but her actual record and her claims that cannot be substantiated destroy her credibility. For example, her claim during the 2nd debate about watching a filming of a live baby squirming on a table after a Planned Parenthood abortion was a fabrication. There was no such filming of any Planned Parenthood abortion available to be viewed.

Two weeks after the 9/11 bombing of the Twin Trade Towers Fiorina made a speech at HP that praised the civilization and traits of the Ottoman Empire, and enlightened rulers like Suleiman the Magnificent. It seems that Fiorina admires the Ottoman Empire and its evil rulers that launched barbaric Islamic attacks against Europe. Why else would she flaunt the Islamic world from 800 AD to 1600 AD as some civilization to be admired? Even now, Fiorina appears to be one the PC clueless on Islam. She will not acknowledge that Islam is the enemy of Christianity and the West.

Some say Fiorina is the bridge candidate between Trump and Carson. I see neither a likable personality like Carson or an outstanding executive like Trump. I think Fiorina has already peaked in the polls.

What are Fiorina’s Christian beliefs? She was brought up Episcopalian but she does not attend any church. She divorced her first husband. Her second husband was an executive at AT&T and he probably had some influence in her rise to the top. From her owns words it seems that her faith in Jesus is directly related to the difficult times that she went through when she had breast cancer and when her step daughter died from a drug overdose. Is this crises Christianity or true Christianity?

Marco Rubio: Rubio is actually very well qualified for his young age of 44. He is a first term Senator but Rubio has had a number of terms in the Florida House and even was speaker of the Florida House before the U.S. Senate seat opened up.

Rubio was elected to the Senate with the help of the Tea Party. However, after being elected to office he took positions that the Tea Party hated. Rubio was part of the bipartisan Gang of Eight that tried to ramrod a form of amnesty for illegals down American’s throats.

Rubio says that he regrets doing that because he says Americans have now made it clear that they want border security first. Actually, that should have been very clear to him from the start. Yet, more recently when Rubio was speaking in Spanish on Spanish TV,  he said legislation on Amnesty first. In other words, he knows how to speak out of both sides of his mouth and just tries to appease the listening audience like most politicians.

Many that identify with the Tea Party feel that Rubio sold out to the Republican establishment and betrayed them on immigration and global trade issues. And the proof is in the pudding. Rubio’s past immigration stand and his global trade support, is the reason the Republican establishment is now staring to get behind Rubio now that Bush seems to be fading.

On most issues Rubio is conservative. However, when push comes to shove on conservative issues it seems that Rubio is too easily pushed into pragmatism. Rubio is a very gifted speaker. He also is young and good-looking and that certainly will not hurt him any. I do expect him to rise in the polls and become the number one chamber of commerce establishment candidate. In other words, he will probably beat Bush in the primaries.

Rubio is only 44. If he does not get nominated this year as the Republican presidential candidate he probably will be seen again in some presidential primary of the future (If America survives that long). He very well could be the vice presidential pick in the hope that he can help the Republicans carry the state of Florida. Rubio appears to be a product of the post-modern generation. Politics is all about whatever works as long as whatever works advances Rubio.

Rubio say he is a Christian. He was baptized into the Catholic Church but then into Mormonism in Nevada when he was a youngster. He switched back to Catholicism when he moved to Florida. His Children are being raised Catholic. He attends Mass but he also attends a Christian (denomination) church with his wife. It seems Rubio also is pragmatic when it comes to institutional Christianity.

Ted Cruz: Cruz is the real deal. He is conservative on all issues and he stands up for Christian conservative issues without compromise. Cruz was brought up that way since childhood. He went to evangelical Christian schools and has kept his deep Christian faith throughout his life. He is not about to change.

Cruz’s political positions are based on his Christian and conservative beliefs, not on political expediency. Cruz is not about to compromise to accommodate unconstitutional or anti Christian positions. That unyielding stand makes him hated in the Senate and by almost everyone other than true Christians and constitutional conservatives. Even Rand Paul said Cruz is finished in the Senate for his uncompromising stands and for telling the truth about the Republican leadership.

Ted Cruz is one of the most brilliant and most experienced young litigators in the United States. He  also is a champion debater. The other candidates better hope that Ted Cruz does not get a chance to go one on one with them on the issues during these media “debates”. There is no one better equipped to advance the cause of constitutional and Christian conservatism than Ted Cruz.

Ted Cruz’s extremely conservative and Christian positions are not popular with the Republican establishment. Trump and Carson as outsiders are getting most of the conservative support so Cruz is still in the single digits in most polls. However, if Trump and Carson fade like Cruz expects to happen; Cruz would rise to the top in conservative states.

Unlike most of the other candidates, Cruz wants to abolish the IRS. He would do that by going to a flat tax of some unspecified amount. Maybe he will be more specific as the campaign progresses. He  also uniquely claims that he would nullify many of the Obama administration agreements, programs, and regulations.

It is hard to see how Cruz could get enough Americans to vote for him. The corporate owned medias would set out to crucify him. And the Far Left would have government dependents rioting in the streets if Ted Cruz even looked electable. However, Cruz see things differently. He believes that the majority of the born again Christians do not vote and if he could get them to come out and vote for him Christians could turn this nation around.

I do not think there are as many true believers in America as Ted Cruz thinks. Cruz is a lifelong Southern Baptist that attends a mega church in Houston Texas. Ted Cruz’s Dad is a preacher that has bought into New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) Dominion Theology heresy big time. I think Ted Cruz may be out of touch with the real America of today. Americans today are heavy indoctrinated and surveys say that most of them actually support much of the ongoing depravity.

Ted Cruz’s dad obviously has great influencing in Ted’s life. His dad clams that Ted Cruz has an anointing from God to become a king and that Ted will play a big role in the coming wealth transfer to Christians. This wealth transfer to Christians is one of the recent claims of the false prophets of the NAR.

I do not think that Ted Cruz believes in hard Dominion Theology where Christians take the world by force but he probably does believe in soft Dominion Theology where Christianity eventually converts the world.

Ted Cruz believes America was a Christian nation and that there are enough born again Christians in America to turn it back to Christianity if the born again Christians vote. Actually, that Christian nation did not exist. True Christianity requires true conversion, not just a population that was identifying with the Christian religious culture.

Americans had a Christian culture but if there was anywhere near the number of true Christian conversions that these people think, there never would have been the Marxist based humanistic counterculture movement of the 1960’s that now controls our society. The only way for the people of this nation to embrace true Christianity is through conversion to faith in Christ. Anything else is just returning to the same pseudo Christian identity that ended in a counter-revolution against what it stood for.

There is nothing wrong with Christians wanting America to have Christian values but that is not obtained by the methods of the NAR and Dominion Theology. They teach that God is anointing certain people to take back the earth from Satan. However, that is not God’s plan. He will take Dominion from Satan when Jesus returns.

True Christianity can only be archived through the gospel message. Those that hear it and receive it have genuine conversations to Christ. What Dominionists intend to bring on America is nothing more than more of the pseudo Christian religion that brought about this humanistic counter-culture in the first place.

Don’t underestimate this Dominion Theology movement. There are very powerful figures behind this. The pendulum swings both ways. It has now swung toward the godless depravity of the far left but when people see where that leads the pendulum will swing the other way toward religious dominionism. It has happened before and Bible prophecy suggests that it will also happen again near the end of the age.

The next economic downturn and all the upheaval it brings could be the catalyst for the rise of Dominion Theology. We are on the brink of the next economic collapse. There is way too much debt and the bankers have lost control. It could come at any time.

The rulers of this age know that they need religion to control the people. That is why you now see the Orthodox Church pulling Putin’s strings in Russia and the Islamic clergy pulling the strings of those ruling the Muslim world. Now the Pope is gaining in influence over the Western World and is pulling on the strings of Word of Faith and Dominionist leaders in America.

Through Evangelical rooted Dominion Theology powerful forces are rising in America. Dominion Theology has already infiltrated and influenced Christian TV, mega churches, and the leadership of mainstream Christian denominations. Brannon Howse address these issues in his book Religious Trojan Horse.

Many of our candidates are influenced by the votes these Dominionist leaders can bring in and a couple of the candidates seem to embrace the whole Christian Dominion Theology ball of wax themselves. Ted Cruz’s father certainly is into hard-core Dominion Theology, and Ted Cruz is highly influenced by his father and other Dominion Theology leaders.

Also, Cruz’s wife (A Seventh Day Adventist – as is Ben Carson) was #2 at Goldman Sacks before she resigned (due to her husband’s campaign). She was a CFR member for a five-year term. She was working on the “Task Force on the Future of North America”. She also worked under Condoleezza Rice as an economic adviser in the Bush Administration.  I am sure she has made influential powerful friends.

Many people do not understand that there are even those among the elite and the globalists that want “Christian” or religious Dominion Theology to reign on earth.

Having said that, I do not believe that Ted Cruz would try to force non believing Americas to obey Biblical law. However, some that align with him will get in positions of power and some of them will.

Many Christians have no understanding of Bible prophecy so they fail to understand that the Dominion Theology Harlot of Revelation 17 becomes hated by the world. When the pendulum once again swings back to the left the kings that support the Antichrist then burn this religious Dominion Theology Harlot with fire.

These first two articles talk about the first and second tier 2016 Presidential candidates according to the polls. In my last article on the candidates I will speak of the remaining candidates.

  1. Kiki says:

Good info Don. I have been a Cruz fan from the beginning due to his willingness to fight the establishment. He has a proven track record. I did not know about the Dominion theology in his background. Regardless, I see no way he can get the nomination. We need a fighter to stand up for what is right. If God wants him in there, he’ll get in. I liked Rubio too, for the most part. In the end, it most likely won’t matter. If I were betting, I would bet this country will never turn back to God. So glad to have your voice back! Thank you for taking the time.

Reading these last two articles and finding out about the candidates’ backgrounds makes me so glad I’m not American.
If only there was someone to write articles like these about British and European candidates/politicians.

  3. Don Koenig says:

    Hi Julie,

That is a confusing statement. Why would you be glad you’re not an American but then wish someone would tell the truth about politicians in Britain and Europe? Many of the politicians there and elsewhere are worse than ours. There the oligarchy does not even allow speech that is not politically correct. That is why few give critical reviews about anything. There are a few brave people there that do dare to speak up, but they get charged with hate crimes.

  4. Margery Langham says:

Thank you so much Don for your input, time, energy, thought, etc. We value your wisdom (you are so GROUNDED). We’re going to re-study your commentary on Revelation.

  5. Nathan K. says:

    Don,

I read the old blog for years. Was sad to see it go and was glad when I looked today to see that you writing again! Very interesting times we live in. Things will only get more interesting in the next 5-10 years!

  6. Stephen says:

Howdy Don, a couple of more facts to show Rubio is bought and paid for. Earlier this year Rubio stated all donations should be made public and an article written a couple of weeks ago stated unknown donors have been funding his summer campaign (commercials). The worst of his transgressions was he voted to triple the H-1B visas bringing in foreigners to take higher paying jobs away from Americans. One example Disney is FORCING its employees to train their H-1B visa replacements and sign agreements not to work for the competition with the threat of their severance package. This is happening more and more across the nation. I would have thought after Obama that we had learned our lesson on someone with the gift of gab as Rubio possesses but I must remind myself that most will be enamored even the elect to follow the beast. Jesus even warned us about this in Matt. 24:25 but since only 10% of Christians have taken the time to read His Word they will most likely take his mark. I know he is not the perfect candidate but Cruz has proved his mettle in his actions even calling Mitch McConnell a liar on nation television (loved it). I do pray for a Godly leader as I stated last week but still believe this nation will get what it deserves and it does not ride an elephant but a jackass.

  7. Bryan says:

It’s a blessing to see you writing again.

  8. Christina says:

    Don,

Interesting insight from a Christian perspective, thank you. The media here (Australia) have only reported on Cruz (and Trump) in a mocking sense, especially Cruz’ faith and how it impacts his policies. I’ve heard mixed reports about Fiorina.

We had a fairly decent Prime Minister here, one who had a faith, genuine family values and who spoke out against various politically correct sacred cows (like AGW) and who was not going to sign on to the UN climate agenda policy in Paris in December, but the left-wing MSM waged all-out war on him with lies and half-truths from the day he was elected until, finally, he was deposed just a couple of weeks ago.

We now have a supposedly conservative PM who is really a covert socialist. The left-wing media (and voters) love him, for now, but they would not vote for the party he leads because it is conservative! Voting here is compulsory, by the way, and there are a lot of peeved conservative voters so the new PM may not last. He does plan to sign away our sovereignty in December, though.

My apologies if my comment has gone a bit off-topic, Don, but I just find it all very interesting how the political landscape is shaping up, world-wide.

  9. Don Koenig says:

    Hi Chistina,

I am aware of what recently happened in Australia. Look also at what is being forced on the people of Europe. Let’s face it the socialist/humanist/fascist PC police are telling the whole Western World what they can think and do. If people don’t get rid of these tyrants they will live or die under socialist globalist ideologues. They have been brainwashing the people for quite some time through media and the public fool system.

  10. Freddiee says:

    Hi Don,

1.What do you make of some military exercises been done to impose marshal law, or some disaster so to have no election 2016 and the current stay in power ?

    Thanks Freddie (SA)

  11. Don Koenig says:

    Hi Freddiee,

That would be very risky for Obama. I do not think he will dare do that to Hillary as long as it looks like Clinton can win. However, if the election looks like it is a shoe-in for the Republicans I do not rule out anything from the lawless Marxists that now control our federal government.

There is a better chance that the policies of the Obama administration actually will cause a major crises before the end of his term. I am not talking about a false flag. I am talking about something like an economic collapse, a grid failure, or a WMD terrorist attack.

  12. Don Koenig says:

Also keep in mind that Obama probably thinks he can become the head of the UN. I believe the term for the present Secretary General is up in 2017. In fact, I think much of his policy is to make him popular with third world nations and the Muslim block that has the votes to put him there.

  13. David L says:

    Hi Don,

Although late to your new blog,I’m catching up! Your info on Cruz is eye opening for sure. As of now,he has been rising in the polls and looking real good in Iowa. He has many important endorsements there recently too. But I don’t trust the establishment to play fair and the contest may go all the way to the convention. I do look for Cruz to be one of two or three fighting it out to the end though, simply because he has the organization in multitudes of states. Especially the South. It will certainly be a very interesting year ahead, and too many moving parts on all fronts to make any kind of solid predictions on the primary, economy,or anything else.

So far,I am enjoying your articles immensely, and good to see some of the regulars here too.
