Many of the problems for America today could have been avoided by better decisions in the past. If we could go back to late 1940’s and then over the next sixty years made the correct hard choices instead of the half- hearted politically correct ones, we could have been a nation that stood against tyranny in the world and a nation that stood for what is morally right. The world could be a much better place today.
Back in the the late 40’s and early 50’s if we had made the hard choice after the second world war, communism would not have spread its poison and tyranny all over the world that put us in cold and hot wars form the 50’s until now. At the end of World War II we were the only nation with atomic weapons. A show of force would have stopped Russia in its tracks. There would have been no Soviet Union and the error of communism would long ago be in the ash heap of history.
Not only did communism spread tyranny in nations it spread mental and moral poison that infected many minds. That brought us the cultural rebellion of the 60’s and 70’s, with the secular humanists and the post modern relativism of today.
Instead of dealing with Stalin when we had the means to end his tyranny we just allowed for Russia to take over large areas of the world knowing that the leaders of Russia were every bit as evil and as grave a threat to a free world as the Nazis. The end result of our peace at all cost with Stalin was 50 million dead in East Europe and Russia, and a fifty year cold war where soon the survival of civilization became in doubt. The only card we had left to play to prevent a nuclear attack by the 70’s was called mutually assured destruction (MAD). In the late forties we could have prevented any nation from developing nuclear weapons if we just had the will and good sense to do what was required.
The appeasement of communism in Russia and China led to the Korean war. The war was not to defeat communism but to contain it so that it would not spread any further and threaten our own interests. So we fought a war in North Korea against the communists but we did it with one hand held behind our back. When we had all but defeated North Korea we just let the Chinese hordes invade and would not take the war to China. We could have taken the Chinese out of the picture by striking China but our generals were not allowed to do that so the end result was a war that eventually split Korea into two nations. Then we offered the communists a cease fire that would allow a tyrannical government to rule in North Korean until this day.
The cease fire did not end the war it just postponed it to the future. Then beyond all reason, we even allowed North Korea to develop nuclear weapons for the future war. By the way, after the cease fire we just abandoned many hundreds of our solders that were prisoners of war. Some are still in North Korea. Gee, thanks for supporting the troops America! Don’t tell me how great Truman and Eisenhower were as Commander-in-Chief.
In the 60’s we allowed Russia to prop up a tin horn dictator in Cuba. We could have taken Castro out if President J.F.K. had not abandoned the Bay of Pigs invaders that were promised US air support but instead were abandoned and left to be rounded up by Castro. Gee, thanks for supporting the troops America! It was not long after that Castro and Russia almost brought the world to the brink of nuclear war when Russia starting bringing nukes and missiles to Cuba. Finally the US took a stand but had Castro been overthrown in the Bay of Pigs invasion we would not gone to the brink of a nuclear holocaust and Castro and the communists would not still be impoverishing Cuba today.
In the early 60’s the communists were on the move in South East Asia which got us involved in the Vietnam war. The idea was to stop the spread of communism in that area of the world. We could have won that war by an invasion of the North Vietnam within a couple of weeks, but our leaders feared China without reason because China had no real power in the 60’s. So politicians that really should have been wearing skirts told our military men they would have to fight the communists with two hand tied behind their back. We could only fight against targets approved by the pencil necks in Washington so our bombing would not upset anyone. The results was a decade long war that accomplished nothing but filling body bags and spreading deadly Agent Orange contamination. By the way, out government denied treatment for Agent Orange related illnesses for decades. Gee, thanks for supporting the troops America.
The Vietnam war fueled a Marxist driven antiwar movement that blamed our troops for doing what they were told. Instead of wining the war our great President Richard M. Nixon just claimed victory and abandoned the people that fought with us and they also abandoned our own US war prisoners. Gee, thanks for supporting the troops America!
After we cut and ran from Vietnam the outcome was predictable the communists took over the country and then Cambodia where millions were slaughtered in the killing fields. Also ask the people in Burma about the Communism we allowed in S. E Asia. Gee, thanks America!
In the 80’s the “great” American President Jimmy Carter, abandoned our ruling Iranian friends and allowed Islamic tyranny to take over Iran. We could not even rescue our own embassy staff and just abandoned them as hostages of Iran until the day that President Ronald Regan took office and Iran realized that it would not be healthy for them to keep our men as hostages. Under Regan the Soviet Union went broke trying to keep up with our military programs and their own war to take over Afghanistan. So we had one humble President in modern times that knew the difference between good and evil and America stood alone as a super power in the world until Bush and Clinton put ourselves under the UN.
For a long time we were supporting Iraq against Iran but President George H. W. Bush who was really a international progressive dressed in conservative American clothing, sent the wrong signal to Saddam and Iraq invaded Kuwait. That led to the first gulf war but that war could have been avoided if Saddam did not get mixed messages from Bush. So we assembled this huge army and quickly defeated the Iraq army but we left that WMD criminal Saddam in power. By the way, the troops were exposed to many toxic chemicals in that war but our vets were denied any service connection for over a decade. Gee, thanks for supporting the troops America!
Then our great President George Jr. gets into office and he is told that Iraq has WMD so we do it all over again and this time we try Saddam for war crimes. However, getting Saddam was not enough for the Bush’s team, they decided they wanted to build a nation and occupy until the Islamics put flowers in their hair and sing “Let the Sunshine in” or “We Are Going to Learn War No More”. The nation building is still ongoing in Iraq and if someone does not deal with Iran soon, Iraq will soon be under the control of a religious Shia theocracy. So all the lives lost in Iraq in the nation building will be for naught.
In the same era terrorists support by our hateful friends in Saudi Arabia bring down the twin towers and that leads to the war now taking place in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Under Presidents Bush Jr and later President Obama they again get the strange idea that America can build a democratic government in a nation run by religious fanatic war lords. It is one thing to destroy terrorist bases and it is another thing to believe in delusions. So that war will probably last until we declare victory and cut bait because we have another war to deal with.
Also going on during the whole duration of this period is the war and peace process between Israel and the Arabs. It is a great place to get Nobel Peace Prize awards even through nobody getting the award has ever achieved any peace. I suppose if anyone actually achieves peace in this area of the world the socialist Nobel committee in Norway will label them fascist.
Our past errors continue to bring about a predictable future. Do they even teach our real history in schools so we do not keep making the same appeasement mistakes? Would anyone even believe it if they did?
- Thanks to the past we will be involved in another Middle East war. Next time it will probably be a war against that religion claiming to be a religion of peace. We will be fighting whole nations run by Islam but we will claim that we have nothing against all the peace loving Muslims of the world that read and obey their hate books.
- We will also soon have to finish what we did not finish in North Korea.
- We will increasing get involved in several other Muslim nations where terrorists are now being trained.
- We will soon be in a new cold war or even a hot war with Russia and China but not because they are still communists. They have now switched to fascism.
- One day we will probably have to go after Chevez if he is not overthrown because he is allowing a harbor for terrorism. Who knows what our future is with drug crazy Mexico and others in Latin America?
- I am sure there will be more military operations in our future that I have not mentioned. However, if we went back to the past and had made better decisions in our history, had we made far less appeasement of evil in our past, we probably would not experience all these evils coming on us in our near future.

We are a dual minded nation run by dual minded politicians! Does not seem to matter who is in office throughout these various periods you mentioned. They all do the same things based on political correctness and half hearted measures result in ill fated campaigns. Finally along comes the Powell Doctrine and a return to a kick butt with a massive force and ask questions later strategy. Unfortunately that was only good for one War and too its credit it succeeded but was stopped short from taking out Saddam altogether. Many said at the time…We’ll be back and for the next ten years we contained him at great expense (oh yea, you left out 8 disastrous years of the greatest appeaser of all time Bill Clinton). His actions or inactions brought us this holy war. Blackhawk down! We are so restrained with our power and the simple reason is that there is no way one can return to an all out seek and destroy policy of yester year simply because our talented warriors are not made that way any longer and would not support orders to carpet bomb for instance or fire bomb whole cities! All out war means an all out War and you intimate that the bomb was available for a show of force. Do you mean not in a test but on a Russian city? Must be because we did plenty of testing and it didn’t faze the Russians. I served on active duty Navy from 81-01 and was in the first Gulf War and previous to that Operation Ernest Will (reflag tankers/escort). I get the main theme is of your blog is about appeasement. I believe appeasement will be the end of us all! Even though we have taken a softer approach over the years it hasn’t mattered much because we are still considered by most countries to be the real threat to peace and stability in the world i.e. missile defence in Europe under Reagan. Thinking like that has cropped up because our policies bring it about in a natural way through our own failures like you mentioned. In other words if we would have taken tougher measures in these instances you pointed out then I believe there would certainly be a more peaceful world at this point by now, right? That’s follie because God is showing us no matter how well conceived our plans maybe, it will end in disaster for those we try to help and so forth if he is not in the planning stages through prayer. Sometimes you can’t see for the thick of the forest around you and until you realize your finally at the edge of the clearing and I think that is where our country is right now. Those appeasers will come to realize this soon and the first dogs to howl will be the Media saying to the Marines Come Save us! The culture has the greatest influence on how we go about our business in the world these days in regards to our military, and yes of course the undermining socialism/marxist teachings. We have used our military very sparingly during the 20 years I served in that we simply maintained a live and let live policy. We kicked butt during WWII and were the only nation to come out without a scratch. Thus making us an economic power house nobody could contend with until we rebuilt Europe and Japan. We got fat and lazy thereafter in celebration of our victory and this celebration lasted way to long and in fact it morphed into the party culture we have today. We have long since become drunk on our own power and influence and now that it is ebbing away from us we take another appeasement to our enemies in a sideways approach saying “Hey this was Bush’s War not mine, so please pardon me I’m not the one you should hate, it’s those other people called republicans, christians and tea party people”. We are all being sold out right now by our own government and people (media). They don’t care at all and thrown in their support for Islam. Out of 300 mil people in this country one guy says he is going to burn the Quran and he is warned by a US General fighting a War not to do it cause you’ll piss them off! What?? State dept is involved in this as well and of course the media is howling all over this guy. He hasn’t done a thing at the moment and their already burning the US flag abroad because HE PLANS to DO IT! People will die before this guy lights one up! Isn’t that a clue they are murderous basterds and that that book is not one that deserves any respect especially from our zealous media. Our government is racing to be politically correct and would not lift a finger against someone if they wanted to burn bibles and flags. This country could be invaded tomorrow and these people would instantly become collaborators just like so many other nations people have done when faced with a take over. It may or may not come to that. I don’t think we have as much time as you seem to indicate Don. Events (worldwide) are moving extremely fast and can easily spiral out of control at any time. I was talking about taking the war to Russia if need be to prevent Stalin from taking over Eastern Europe. If that had happened instead of a UN run by communists you would have had a world order led by the United States. I think God gave an open door to America after the second world war because we were the most moral nation on earth and also had the most Christians. But we did not go through that door just like Israel did not enter the land. So instead of a number of years of rule by truth justice and the American way we got all the things I mentioned and the whole world is now controlled by enemies of our worldview and the enemy is even within.
Sure, the US. would have become increasingly corrupted in time, all world empires do, but we cut our time short by appeasement of satanic bullies. Some like to think America has been a world leader since we became a nation but the truth is that Europe has been really controlling world events. Then for a while it was the communists and now it is moving back toward Europe and the Far East. We soon will no longer be a world player.
I fully expect the world to spiral out of control. I expect another world war rather soon but that no more puts in the 70th week of Daniel than the last world war. People like to equate the latest wars with end time prophetic events they did it with world war I and they did it with world war II. Some even did it with Iraq. But we are not in the end times spoken about until the Rapture occurs, there is peace in Israel, the witnesses of God preach for 42 months, and the Antichrist rises.
I think it is pretty bazaar that one of our top generals would ask a minister of the gospel not to burn a satanic book for the sake of our troops. If the survival of our troops depends on continuing to appease Islam we might as well go home right now.
Sure I missed many things in the history since World War ii it just hits some of the major events. Think about this you people that want to restore America, which of the times above do you wish to restore it to and if you wish to restore it to the times before world war II there is much to be said about those times as well. Actually America needs to move forward not restored back to some time that really never existed except maybe for a few brief period in our history. But to move forward now America needs to be evangelized.
I can only see that door reopening in my mind for this country is if God so chooses to give us that option once again but it must come at some very catalizing moment something possibly greater than 911!! Or something from beyond? Signs and wonders you know. I heard a report today about two asteriods passing nearby the earth early tomorrow was it. Unusual to say the least and they apparantly are grouped and can be seen with a telescope (is something else larger behind them?). Anyways, I can’t see the restoration as some like to call it. I think we are to far gone by way of the culture, the multi-culture, values, morals whereas there was a brief period where there was a common purpose in this country and adults were actually looked up to and respected. That generation has long since past and it’s influence is but a faint whisper on the wind. I have seen it in myself as I take after my Grandfather and skipped my own parents obviously and his generation preceded our Best generation by a decade or so. The only way to restore it is to let the people suffer…I really hate to put it that way, but what the government did through socialism can only be bred out through a cutting off of subsistence and getting people back to real work in this country. No Work, No Food. But I have to admit something has awakened the people and they are pissed. Polls show support for the GOP the highest in 68 years. OK, I got the Russia thing now, but I wonder if they thought of it in those terms back then (is this a sign?). The general doing the speaking is by design and not really that bazaar when you think about it. He was directed by the WH to speak up and basically in doing so run the flag up the pole with this church and let them know that soldiers that they (Christians) no doubt support will be in harms way and get them to back off out of shame. Might work if they buy it. Don’t know really if they should considering their trying to make a point and it is free speech however distasteful to the average peace loving muslim and American and OBTW a peaceful demonstration of an intolerant belief system (I won’t even call it a faith/religion). What a country this has been! I have spent many years, both as unbeliever and believer, criticizing and complaining. Much of this was valid–we have problems, always have had–but it is now that I see how awesome it has been to be able to speak my mind.

I also thank the Lord that I have been born as an American, free and with lots of oppurtunity to make anything I want out of myself, marry whom I choose, live where I choose, worship whatever and wherever. I am an optimist at heart and a hopeful Christain that in Gods time things can be revealed to me and or us for direction. Part of restoration I believe is knowing what all the down sides have been, learning from past mistakes, analyzing them and putting forth policies that make sense for the long run. Fortunately the founding fathers did exactly that but we have somehow managed to destroy that foundation which I believe they would have wanted us to build on to make this a more perfect union. That can and could have been done be we made one huge error, we didn’t include him in the plans. But even though we did not he has blessed this nation even though we have been astray for some many years/decades. We are like errant children who have run amok and I hope we can come back to him like the prodigal sons and daughters we are and seek his holy guidance. Because without it, more of the same will transpire until there is no more union to preserve for anyone. Hope is what he Gave us, not mans version. I’ll take his version anytime.

For that to happen, we Christians need to begin to ignore the distractions (e.g. Politics) and deceptions (e.g. Immorality) and concentrate on reading our Bibles, drawing near to God, letting the Holy Spirit write the word of God on our souls so when we go out to a lost and dying world we can share the truth of the gospel and be lights to the world. Begin with ourselves, our families and friends then aquaintances and our enemies. The doors will open when we are prepared to go through them.

I could not agree more. I too often get caught up in the lets ID the culprits and get rid of em. That’s why I joined a faithful church and a mens fellowship group dedicated to restoring the home. You cannot restore anything in the US without first having a committed relationship with God in where you allow yourself to be led by God so you can then lead your family and or others in your communities. But pointing these out as distractions is right on and I need to take that to heart.
I know we are supposed to go out into the world and share the gospel, but it’s the world who has made this next to near impossible to do practically and legally. God right now in all of human history is a key stroke away from gaining knowledge of him and finding a Christian church nearby in ones community. Where the people would not receive Paul, he would shake the dust out of his sandals and move on, we are in those last days where the world in general has chosen not to receive God. So therefore we live in a time where it will be individuals seeking God out for themselves for the most part and it will these that we encounter at out fellowships, churches…and when we do encounter them we should be very ready to receive them and let the Holy Spirit take it from there.

thank you for all your writings including the one about when the rapture will happen.. and for your blog it has helped me to realize that god isnt done with this world or the people and that we still have alot of work to do in this world before the rapture takes place.. me and my husband are expecting our first child in january and i know we will see it be born because god is still working on me and this world.. i only wish i knew what god wanted me to do to help this world and how i could reach the lost
Thanks Betsy, If your willing God will use you. For example, raising a child in the way he or she should go is doing God’s work. If the Lord comes your child will be covered by your faith and a soul is added to the Church. If the Lord tarries the lost will need more people trained in the faith to give them the truth.

Seriously, in spite of the rhetoric about a one world order or world government it is not even on the horizon yet. What is on the horizon as that article so clearly outlines is world war. When people in the world had enough of war they will be looking for a Savior to tell them what to do (Antichrist).

I do not believe man will be allowed to get as far as some think the new world order will go, like a 500 mil population worldwide. We have two roads merging into one. That is evil (Islam) and Good (Christianity). I do not believe that God will let us wain away to nothing then all of a sudden appear. He is pouring out his mercy right now that none should be left behind. I believe his mercy right now is two fold more than at any previous time and this is to ensure is grace is without question. Wars will come and go, but I do believe that this is the period that we really need to take notice of. It is a period of Islam rising in a free and former Christian nation (if you wish to think of us in that term). What a seemingly apparent victory for those living in a cult. A cult that tells them to vanquish all before them that will not submit to them. A cult that tells them they are to rule over all others. Have we not seen this before? But what of Christians? Do they seek to destroy all before them even when they were at the height of their power as a nation called America? The answer is of course not! We have become a mostly a liberal thinking nation, we take these views to the battle field and say we are just like you, we want to live and we want to be friends and live in peace. Thats nice in a fairy tale (which they live in) but thats not the real world (which they think they created an alternate reality to). Don we are on the same page here. I dont bring gooblee gook to the table. I bring experience, faith, sincerity and myself to the table. If anyone wants to correct me then I stand corrected. I don’t know eveything nor claim to. But I know this, if we bicker amongest ourselves over ever bread crumb then we will fail. We will fail in providing a path to a future as long as that future lasts in this life and for right now thats all we get until the King of Kings calls it a day. I was commenting on the link you posted. It happens to reads like things that I have said on my blog. Also, my reference to those who believe a new world order is about to take over was in agreement with the article and it was directed at those who think that some NWO world government is about to take over the world.
By the way, there has to be disagreements among us so the correct path can be determined. Many people in the Church have different ideas and views but not all can be correct. Nor can we agree with each other on what we know to be wrong. If we all must agree on everything I might as well not even allow comments.
One word of advise for all posting comments on this blog, break your comments into paragraphs, if you don’t they will be very difficult to read and few will even try to read them.

I have never heard it all put together like that, very thought provoking.
I think this article fully illustrates the frailty and foolishness of man.
Also, for those blind American loving homers, who think the U.S. does no wrong, it’s a great eye opener.
It shows that those in power, have no regard for those in the battlefields…I’m sure that our P.O.W.’s are nothing more than statistics to them.
Ultimately, what it shows is that man cannot handle power over other man, never has, never will…there is only one who can rule over man with equity, he is the Holy God In Heaven…our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I think if the would’a, should’a, could’a’s did happen in world history, we wouldn’t be where we are today in “The Prophecy Years”.
If the U.S. and other Nations did what was righteous and vigilant in history, then it would mean that man is not a corrupt being.
God has used man’s fallen condition to get to where we are at today.
The Lord God Almighty predicted it would come to this and how glorious it is to know that our redemption is nigh. To know that for eternity, we don’t have to depend on man, but the perfection of our Lord, Jesus Christ : )
