They believe that big government controlled by elite “more evolved” individuals with a secular humanist socialistic worldview is the only hope for humanity to have any hope for survival as a species. Most people who claim to be Christians in this postmodern generation say they follow Christ. However, their world views and beliefs display that the Christ that they claim to believe in, is not the Jesus Christ that the Bible defines. These pseudo Christians have worldly humanistic world views. They do not have a biblical Christian worldview. They are usually found on the wrong side of most moral and biblical positions.

Preparing for coming global cooling may be critical to survival

I could get on the bandwagon and tell you that there will be global warming in the future, but even if it actually happened it will not have much of an impact on most that live on this planet today. Global cooling, on the other hand, does really matter to those alive on the earth today. If the earth cools, world food production will fall and many poor people would starve to death.

If the temperature falls just 3 degrees Centigrade, global grain production would be reduced by one-quarter. The U.S. would no longer be an exporter of grain and many nations of the world would be living in famine.… continue reading

The unforeseen election loss of Eric Cantor is one of the biggest political upsets in American history. The Republican Majority Leader was dethroned by a conservative unknown named David Brat. Cantor outspent Brat $40 to $1. He was still expected to win his primary by a landslide just days before the Republican primary election but Cantor lost by a landslide. David beat Goliath.

Apparently, people in Virginia were heavily influenced by the headline news of the dumping of thousands of children from Central America on our southern borders and Cantor’s insistence that amnesty and immigration reforms had to be pushed through the House this summer.… continue reading

Emasculated men and their women let LifeWay replace Bible Studies

Ten years ago while in a LifeWay Sunday School group I challenged some of the points of theology of the “teacher”. He whined to the pastor and the pastor told him that he might listen and learn from me. He got so upset that the pastor did not get on my case that he went into a hissey fit and quit the church. The pastor did tell me that I could be more tactful. I agree. Tact never was a strong suit of mine. Emasculated men often have the emotions of women. The urban rural division in America parallels Lot and Abraham?

Most know the biblical story of Abraham and Lot. Lot was Abraham’s nephew and Lot traveled where God was leading Abraham. Tension started increasing between the herdsmen of Abraham and Lot so they agreed to part company. Lot chose to move to the plains where the cities were. Lot’s people mingled with the natives and became influenced by evil people who dominated the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham stayed in the hill country and walked with God.

Not more than a couple of decades after Lot’s people departed Abraham, lot’s people were all destroyed by fire from heaven along with all the native people of the plains because they had joined in with the wicked practices of Sodom and Gomorrah.… continue reading

In my article of Feb 10th, about the coming foreign wars, I said to keep your eyes opened for Russia invading Ukraine after the Olympics. At that time, our State Department was saying that Russia would not invade Ukraine. It should not surprise anyone that this Obama administration would be wrong. They have been wrong on everything.

It was not crystal ball gazing on my part that led me to suggest that Russia would invade Ukraine. Will America avoid the coming foreign wars or coming civil war?

If America gets involved in a major war in the Middle East or in Asia, the usual rallying around the flag might make it possible for America to avoid a civil war unless the war becomes unpopular or the draft is restarted. If a foreign war and the rallying around the flag does not happen, the future for America could be even more bleak than a foreign war because race baiters and socialistic radicals are fueling divisions in America that very well could lead to civil warfare.

Modern Bible studies often fall far short of studying the Bible

If you have been a Christian for a few decades and attended Bible studies, one thing that you should have noticed is that Bible studies are not what they used to be. There was a time when Bible studies were actually taught by elder teachers in the congregation. These teachers actually prepared their own well thought-out lessons that were based on knowledge of the Bible and their own understanding of the scriptures. Teaching was a ministry given through spiritually gifted men.

Quite often Bible studies were led by pastors or elder teachers that were formally trained in the Bible. Today, most “Bible studies” are led by facilitators that lead group discussion on passages suggested by expensive quarterly magazines.… continue reading

A mostly positive look at the world technology of 2025

Back in the 1960’s people who predicted what the world would be like today got most of it wrong. They mainly focused on transportation improvements like flying cars or other stuff that you might have seen on “The Jetsons”. They totally missed the electronics revolution and our total dependence on electronics and information databases. “Star Trek” was much closer to that reality, but that series was set centuries in the future.

If you believed some of the Christian revival hype that was going around this year, you might have been lead to believe that by Thanksgiving our nation would be in sack cloth and ashes humbling themselves and praying and repenting so God would heal our land. If I could convince people that the Millennial Kingdom led by Jesus begins on earth within twenty years, would they change anything in their life? Keep in mind, that the great trial for everyone living on earth even begins some seven years sooner. First, God will send His two witnesses to first tell the world the truth but the world will hate them and wish to kill them but any harm directed toward them will fall on their own head.

Charismatics leading others to offer strange fire before the Lord

I had shoulder surgery Friday so I really am not physically or mentally up to doing any long post this week. It all seems to be going well but I think the steroids or something else they used really did a number on my ability to think through issues or even stay awake.
