The big shift to the great apostasy and its doctrines of demons.

I hardly knew what to do with this article because I hate quoting so much of anyone’s writing but in this case i think it is necessary. I really want you to read this entire article for yourself because you need to know where all the “New Spirituality” you hear on Oprah and the “shift” talk of the emergent movement and the popular feel good ministers of TV are taking people.

If this article does not convince you that we are the verge of the great apostasy of “Christianity” I guess nothing will wake you up. What follows are some clip quotes from the article but you really have to read the full article to get the full flavor of this.… continue reading

“The Shack” is “The Message” outhouse.

“The Shack” is not about a basketball player it is a book that twists the Gospel. If you are buying into the message of this book thought up in an outhouse you are buying into damnable heresy. The endorsement on the cover of this heretical book is from Eugene Peterson, author of “The Message”. “This book has the potential to do for our generation what John Bunyan’s ‘Pilgrim’s Progress’ did for his. It’s that good!” Eugene Peterson, author of The Message (Front cover endorsement)

I for one am fed up with those who quote “The Message” as if it were the Bible.continue reading

Seven reasons not to vote for the Obama Messiah

Obama has become the black Messiah for a whole generation. I will give you seven reasons you why you should not make this man your idol or vote for him.

First, he is just a man. Obama has no special powers unless they are demonic.

Second, get to know what he really plans to do. If you knew instead of just getting caught up in this mass hysteria you would know that he is a globalist socialist. He will make the US subservient to the UN and transfer US wealth to other nations.

Third, many of Obama’s moral positions are in direct opposition to the absolute truths of the Bible.… continue reading

How socialist fascists will take control of America by 2013

If the Democrats control both houses it is almost certain that 2009 will mark the beginning of the end of free speech in America. If Obama or Clinton get elected one of the first things they will do is to bring back the Fairness Doctrine which will kill talk radio.

Then without talk radio and the conservative voices as a counterbalance to socialism they will not only pass hate speech laws there will not even be any discussion about its abuses. After that, they will come after voices that oppose them on the Internet and they will regulate out these voices through government and Internet providers interpretations of the fascist hate speech laws.… continue reading

Communists everywhere!

We have people with Communist ideas leading the Democratic Party which should change its name to the socialist party. Now we have these emerging leaders in Christianity spouting Communism and we also have Word Churches, some Pentecostals and the World Counsel of Churches looking to bring in a Christian utopia based on Communist principles. So Communism is not dead it has just shape shifted into the American mainstream. Mao would be so proud. He is taking America and is destroying Christianity without firing a shot.

It is unbelievable how far Americans and Christians have strayed from their ideals in the last fifty years.… continue reading

Defining Evangelicalism Down to Secular Humanism

One of the things that really bugs me about the new “Evangelical” left leaders like Rick Warren is that they act like the Church was doing nothing to help people before they arrived on the scene with all their horns and whistles blowing. They insult the millions of missionaries who quietly worked in mission fields and the Holy Spirit who worked through them.

The big difference between the real missionaries and the postmodern version is that the real missionaries gave and give people more than just physical aid for the symptoms of diseases in this world. They gave the people the cure of spiritual life.continue reading

Asking unbelievers to help reinvent Christianity

So here you have a conference led by apostates. Inviting unbelievers to re-think or re-invent Christianity. In other words, they wish to made Christianity more relevant to the postmodern generation that does not believe in the absolute truths defined in the Bible. They want a Christianity without biblical doctrine where all religions are equal paths to God.

The conference premise is so absurd that anyone who bought into the concept might as well call themselves by some other name besides Christians. They may believe in the apostasy of universalism but they do not believe or follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.continue reading

The world invasion of the satanic change agents

If you are an astute Christian who knows what is going on you should have heard about the talk about change, rethinking and a coming paradigm shift. This dialog is coming from all that hold positions of power and global influence. It now even is the major subject in postmodern and Liberal church movements. The plan to move from individual thinking and belief in absolutes to a more global consensus group think way about everything. They think doing this will bring world Unity to help establish a unified global world agenda.

This brainwashing movement is going to do away with the absolutes truths of Christian and all absolute moral believes.… continue reading

Ron Bell’s Velvet Elvis is a postmodern social gospel

Bob DeWaay does a good job in this article explaining the teaching of Ron Bell in “Velvet Elvis” and debunking them.  All I will add is that the American Church is heading for big trouble if young “Christians” keep following these postmodern leaders that have no regard for sound biblical doctrine.

clipped from Critical issues commentary

For the past two years I have researched the theology of the Emergent Church in preparation for a book I am writing. During that time I ignored Rob Bell’s Velvet Elvis because I was concentrating on other works of postmodern theology. Then someone loaned me Bell’s video in which he uses subatomic physics to try to prove that, “everything is spiritual.”

Pagan/Christian hybrid emerging Pentecostal churches

I have noticed in my own experience that Pentecostals too often cross the line. Here is a story of one Pentecostal pastor that crossed the line and took his whole church with him. Come to think if it, I also noticed that many Pentecostals worship their pastor and will follow him anywhere no matter how unbiblical he becomes. Thus, unless there is some way of weeding out these wolves in sheep’s clothing many sheeple will soon be drinking the kool-aid.

I am not picking on Pentecostals. There are just as many godly Pentecostals as their are godly non Pentecostal believers. However, the display of mystical gifts often attracts unstable people.… continue reading

The Truth War is published

Jan Markell in this article informs us of John MacArthur’s book, “The Truth War”. Truth is being sacrificed on the altar in many Christian churches today in order to be relevant and popular.

That reminds me of a passage in Timothy:

2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Accommodation or Confrontation with the world system?

Dr Francis Schaeffer in 1984 said, “The grossest form of worldliness is conforming to the form of worldliness that exists in it’s own generation”. That is exactly what is happening today in much of Christianity.

Accommodation or Confrontation – CWN: ” recently watched a video presentation of Dr. Francis Schaeffer’s last public meeting before he died in 1984. I was stunned, again, by the precision of his insights into his era, and ours. Dr. Schaeffer’s last two books, The Great Evangelical Disaster and A Christian Manifesto, were nothing short of prophetic. As he approached his death, after fifty years of his ministry, he observed that evangelicalism over that time could be summarized primarily by one term: Accommodation.

Re-Think Methodology or Repent?

The problem is even though Hybel’s now admits that they have been wrong for twenty years. They have no intentions of going back to church the way it was before they influenced the church to depart to a worldly methodology. If you check what they are doing at Hybel’s and Warren’s churches they are going head first into heretical Emergent Church doctrines and inclusive universalism with all Religion. Why would any church retain a pastor who has lead them down the wrong path for two decades as if he suddenly now learned how to lead people to Christ and pastor the flock?continue reading

Apophatic and Kataphatic Prayer

Apparently the emergent movement is redefining prayer for us. It is not enough to know that prayer is communication with God now you should know the difference between “apophatic” and “kataphatic” prayer. Well don’t panic, Eugene Peterson explains it all for us. Kataphatic prayer is praying with the eyes open and apohpatic prayer is praying with the eyes closed. Somehow all this profound wisdom reminds me of a old commercial. The one where they show eggs frying and equate it with your brain on drugs. You read the article and see where it takes you?

More Books and Things…: A Thing called Apophatic Prayer
kataphatic prayer employs thoughts and images while apophatic transcends these.

Rick Warren, Reconciliation Peace, and Brian McLaren

Is there any doubt why Rick Warren has change “planting churches” to “promote reconciliation” in the P of his P.E.A.C.E plan acronym? Rick Warren obviously has bought into Dominion Theology and Brian McLaren’s heresy. Willow Creek’s seeker churches have as well. If nobody sees the setting up of the world harlot who rides the Beast of Revelation taking place here they have little understanding of Bible prophecy. Not to mention the scriptures that warn us that this end time apostasy would come from among those who call themselves “Christians”.

The Latest “P” – Reconciliation “Put this quotation on a global scale and apply it to tribes and warring factions, people groups and nations, and you can see how grandiose this thinking becomes.

What is Robert Schuller rethinking?

Rethink to me sounds a little to much like what the Emergent Church movement is doing although with this line up it would appear to be more of a all ways to utopia on earth through a religious dominionist agenda.

I do not know why Christian leaders would appear on Robert Schuller’s platform anyway since he is an admitted universalist and his teaching is obviously heretical. We will have to wait and see what they all say, I am sure what that say will give us much more to write about. I am not liking where many of today’s “Christian leaders” are taking the church.continue reading

What is Post-Postmodernism?

Excellent article about the war going on in the end time churches.

What is Post-Postmodernism? – CWN: “Postmodernism is seen, in part, in the ordination of homosexuals in the liberal mainline churches, the embracing of higher criticism and skepticism of the Biblical texts, and the utilization of pop culture advertising techniques in reaching the masses. While the church is waging internal wars about power-point choruses versus hymnbooks, praise bands versus organs, formal attire versus casual, our Postmodern nation is on the verge of losing the ability to maintain its foundational institutions. Wimps can’t govern themselves. God told Jonah that Ninevah was on the verge of being destroyed.

Needed: A BOLD ORTHODOXY

Great article Steve on the Emergent movement

Needed: A BOLD ORTHODOXY …the biblical answer to the “PC” State of EMERGENT evangelicalism – CWN: “What is needed in today’s religious climate and culture is a bold orthodoxy. The Emergent Church is proud of their ‘humble’ orthodoxy. Truth to them is liquid, fluid, changing, evolving, and must remain adaptable to the times. By comparison, they mock the Scriptures as being God’s infallible, inerrant Word; they wrest the gospel of its exclusiveness; they misrepresent the character of the One Triune God; they reduce the ministry of Jesus to Him being a social engineer or a compassionate advocate for the rights of the oppressed; they deny the existence of hell, penal substitutionary atonement, justification by faith alone, and that church shouldn’t primarily be about the glory of God, but about us.”

Compromise isn’t just found in the Emergent Movement

Those with true Christian faith have a hard time compromising with the lies of liars and that speaks wonders for those who do.

Compromise isn’t just found in the Emergent Movement – CWN: “As W. Graham Scroggie said, “Light and darkness, right and wrong, good and evil, truth and error are incompatibles . . . when they compromise it is the light, the right, the good, and the truth that are damaged.”

The biggest danger to the evangelical Church is not false religion or atheism, but compromise; it has always been a tool of the enemy. When compromise occurs, we can have church growth but no depth; numbers, but no character; enormous buildings, but small hearts.

Shaping the Global ‘Christian’ Youth

Like usual Berit Kjos gives too many good points in her well documented articles to do justification in a clip or two. I hope you will read the article. Berit has a very good handle on what is happening in the world and the church of today. It is not a pretty picture.

Berit Kjos — Shaping the Global ‘Christian’ Youth: “Like our secular guides, today’s postmodern, purpose-driven church guides keep sounding the call for continual change. And their restless audience — dulled by decades of ‘progressive education’ and corrupt entertainment — are fast falling in line behind the most popular pied pipers.
