Rev. Wright and his disciple Obama

It should be pretty obvious that Obama and his wife went to that racist church for twenty years because they agreed with what was being taught there. People who do not agree with the doctrine of a church find a different church to attend. The fact that Rev. Wright is so much a part of Obama’s life speaks wonders about Obama.

If you can get past the “change” and “yes we can” slogans what Obama offers the nation is nothing but a Christianized version of Marxism. It is the same stuff that his pastor taught.

I simply cannot believe that people in the U.S.… continue reading

Light the log and you will turn up the temperature in your church

What Coach Daubenmire says here may not be exactly what I would tell you to do but I agree with enough of it to offer his expertise.

Dave Daubenmire — Light a Fire Under Your Pastor

I could share with you copies of emails that I received, but I don’t want to take up the space. Suffice it to say that nearly all of them were hungry for Biblical leadership. Here is a stern warning to pastors. Write it off if you like. The folks in the pew are greatly dissatisfied. I hear it when I speak in churches and I hear it every time I write a commentary.

Southern Baptist leadership cooling down for Jesus

I talked about this yesterday on my other Blog. Seems that Joe Farrah also sees the lack of discernment coming from the Southern Baptist Convention leadership on the issue of global warming. I think the leadership gets caught up into these worldly viewpoints because they are a little to eager to hobnob with elite worldly people and embrace the philosophy’s of men so that they can fit into the fallen world system. In other words they are carnal.

Whither the Southern Baptists?

What is it about major Christian denominations that leads them, inevitably and inexorably, into error? What is it about the world that seduces Christian institutions to forsake the Bible in favor of pop politics and junk science?

This elevator is going down

Here is a very good summery of the latest going on with many of the “Christian” leaders that seem to be running their own heavenly elevator. Next stop the bottom floor.

clipped from www.letusreason.org
We welcome new leaders and recognize them for their service to Christ. Today
there are many new leaders, but there is a shortage of biblically well trained
leaders who are aware of the issues and have answers to them. There are just as
many new leaders serving an agenda, themselves and money than Christ.
Postmodernism, pluralism, relativism, interfaith and occult ideas and practices
have reached so deep into the church that we can’t seem to see through the murky
waters we are now swimming in.

Red letters from their spirit guide.

They say they put special emphasis on the Red letters because that is what Jesus was reported to have said in contrast to other scriptures that in their doubtful minds are more subjective. Yet, there is enough in Red Letters to destroy their Red Letter arguments. So  they go further and selectively choose which Red Letters they will use for their heretical arguments and which they will discard because it does not fit their view.

It is not a mystery why they do this. They want a Jesus that fits the Jesus they contemplated in their own mind. A Jesus who is their buddy or spirit guide.… continue reading

The pulpits are silent except when pulpit puppets preach the national feel good gospel.

Coach Dave Daubenmire spells out the problem and most of the pulpits will remain silent. We could also insert the word Christians in place of pulpits.

Dave Daubenmire — …and the Pulpits Are Silent

Public schools are destroying the faith of Christian children and the pulpits are silent.
Legislation is introduced to remove the rights of parents and the pulpits are silent.
Children are taught they came from apes and the pulpits are silent.
Millions of children are “medicated” to control their behavior and the pulpits are silent.
Gambling is promoted to pay for schools and the pulpit is silent.
Precious babies are being murdered in the womb and the pulpits are silent.

The postmodern movement moves to the past to relearn traditions of men and old doctrines of demons

I think much of the postmodern movement are made up of those who are just too damn lazy to study the Bible. It is so much easier for them to learn to contemplate their navel until “divine” revelation pops into their head. The leaders of this movement are quite different and deceptive, they know exactly where they are taking this group. They are the wolves in sheep’s clothing that Paul warned us about. If they do not qualify I would like to know who does?

If you notice it is not just happening in Christianity the old pagan practices spouted by media stars are also coming back to the future to the world in brand new wrappers.… continue reading

A model for blasphemy

You be the judge.

BLASPHEMOUS: HOW TERRIBLY SAD WHEN OUR PRECIOUS LORD JESUS CHRIST IS TREATED AS THE PUNCH-LINE TO ONES SICK JOKE

May I encourage you to be a Berean today. Examine its claims with the Word of God and then let me know your thoughts. And be forewarned: the way Mark refers to the Lord Jesus Christ is blasphemous; the way he wrests Scripture is unnerving; and the way he views the text of Song of Solomon is pornographic.

Recent teachings on prayer and experiencing God misleads Christians

Here is a good commentary by Bob DeWaay on popular teachings that are now leading many Christians astray by equating images and thoughts formed in their own mind with answers from God or Experiencing God. Mysticism has a history of leading Christians astray and it will be no different with these who replace God’s word with extra-biblical techniques and experiences.

Critical Issues Commentary: Unbiblical Teachings on Prayer and Experiencing God

To a Christian, praying to God is privilege, a blessing, and a Biblically defined responsibility. We are called to pray. But a genre of literature exists that I call “prayer secrets.”

Comparing The life of Jesus with the life of Muhammad

This is a great article that compares the life of Jesus with the life of Muhammad. When one looks at the life of the founders of the two religion there really is no comparison between the two.

One point though, if anyone really thinks the world is 33 percent Christian they do not know what a Christian is. I will admit that 33 percent of the world identify with Christianity but that is not the same thing as them being Christians.

Jesus and Muhammad compared

What motivates fundamental Muslims to violence? Much effort has gone into answering this. Muslim apologists are quick to point out Christians have also committed violence.

Biblical texts often taken out of context by prosperity teachers and others

Three biblical texts that are often taken out of context by health, wealth and prosperity teachers

A TEXT TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT, IS A PRETEXT FOR PROOF-TEXT

Here are three of the most taken out of context, misplaced, misapplied, misappropriated, and misinterpreted Bible verses that we hear. All three of these verses are found in Matthew 18:18-20; all three of these verses have to do with church discipline; and all three of these verses can mean only one thing in their proper context. Let’s take a look…

To hell with all things appropriate

I find those who nit pick words and like to criticize Christians who use language for effect, often do so because it disturbs their refined Casper-Milk-Toast version of Christianity that never ventures beyond the white picket fence around their church to confront anything.

They criticize the words of others who are only trying to communicate effectively in today’s real world, while they themselves speak only a holier-then-thou self-approved Christian ghetto language called Christianize.

Some Christians think we are to confront the world with wet noodles.
Words of warfare are most effective if you are not unduly bound by Christianize ghetto language restrictions.… continue reading

Does Chuck Colson know the Christian faith well enough to teach theology?

I wrote some about Chuck Colson and his new book that claims that Christians do not know their theology like the Muslims. It was posted on this Blog on Feb 15th. Chuck tells us his book will provide a new theological grounding for Christians. Not the Bible, Chuck’s theology in his new book.

As I implied in my article, Chuck Colson’s version of Christianity is a little too broad for me. I mean, Colson even suggests that all those that are ignorant of their faith are Christians. I guess he believes you are a Christian if you attend a Christian church.… continue reading

Jim Bakker is back on the air and cooks up a new Heritage like Village called Morningside

I am not going to judge the man I think he paid his dues. I just thought many would like to know that Jim Bakker is back on the air and has created something very much like Heritage Village all over again. This project is called Morningside. I don’t think Jim Bakker will make the same mistakes he made with Heritage Village because this project is backed by a wealthy businessman who believed in Bakkers idea for a Christian community.

We will have to wait and see what the content of his new show will be like but I know he has renounced the property gospel and just maybe he can do something useful promoting the gospel in his old age.… continue reading

Chuck Colson’s new book provides a theological grounding for Christians?

Chuck Colson is correct that the church in America needs to return to orthodoxy and truth. We need more leaders rejecting the postmodern trend that is rethinking and redefining known Christian truths.

Having said that, Chuck Colson is part of the problem because he wants the largely dead church in America to go back to the truth it never embraced. The true Church in America is much smaller then Colson would have you believe. It does not include most of the apostate Liberals and the Catholics that Chuck Colson so readily embraces as Christians. Most of these have a culture or a religion, not Christ.… continue reading

Christians corrupted by the satanic world system.

Chuck Baldwin tells it the way it is in the Church in America. Can you honestly say he is wrong about most of what he said in this article? If not, what a sorry excuse for a Church American “Christians” leaders and church members have become. Is it any wonder why American Christians are about to reap the consequences of being double minded?

The problem is manifold, of
course. For the most part, our pastors have become glorified politicians and
business executives. As attorneys are not schooled in the Constitution, today’s
ministers are not schooled in the Scriptures.

Is there a New Apostolic Reformation or an old deception?

I came across this excellent article today about “The Roots and Fruits of the New Apostolic Reformation”, by Bob De Waay. It is about how the Latter Rain movement morphed into the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR).

Christians need to know the truth about these self appointed anointed and other Christians need to separate from these leaders bringing them into Apostasy.

One thing I have found out for myself over the years is that when certain leaders claim Apostolic positions and special prophetic anointing from God they are always lying.

The Super Bowl Golden Calf goes to church

If Paul Procter discernment about this golden calf hits a little to close to home at your church. Maybe something should change at your church

clipped from www.newswithviews.com

“If you can’t
beat ’em – join ’em.” And so, the Church Super Bowl party was born.

Instead of
simply staying at home or heading out to some sports bar to watch the game in
postponed shame and make apologies or excuses later for choosing football over
faith, many decided to just take the big game to church with them as if that
somehow made it holy. As the numbers and excitement around megachurch big
screens grew, another golden calf emerged.

Rick Warren continues to make very bazaar statements

Rich Warren says the future of the world lies in religious pluralism. Does this man read his Bible at all? The future of the world lies in Jesus Christ alone. Why are Christians still following this double minded man?

clipped from www.christianworldviewnetwork.com
Secularism is quite small outside Europe and Manhattan,” he joked.
“The future of the world lies in religious pluralism.”
–Rick Warren

Read through the points carefully again, and you will see where Rick Warren is taking evangelicals. His beliefs about pluralism explain why he can go to Jewish synagogues and never mention the name of Christ, or appear at secular conferences or shows like Comedy Central and never once mention Jesus and the way of eternal salvation.

The world invasion of the satanic change agents

If you are an astute Christian who knows what is going on you should have heard about the talk about change, rethinking and a coming paradigm shift. This dialog is coming from all that hold positions of power and global influence. It now even is the major subject in postmodern and Liberal church movements. The plan to move from individual thinking and belief in absolutes to a more global consensus group think way about everything. They think doing this will bring world Unity to help establish a unified global world agenda.

This brainwashing movement is going to do away with the absolutes truths of Christian and all absolute moral believes.… continue reading
