It certainly looks to me like Benjamin Netanyahu will be the next Prime Minister of Israel and he certainly is not going to be dictated to by a President who sides with terrorists through Hillary.
Sure, Obama intends to offer Israel a nuclear umbrella and thus allow a nuclear Iran but why would Israel actually think that we would use nukes against Iran after Israel was already destroyed? What good would our nuclear umbrella be for dead people? I guess Obama’s whiz kids think that the threat would be enough of a deterrent to stop Iran from ever using their nukes but that is because they do not understand that the leaders of Iran actually want to bring about a war between the West and Islam. They intend to make Israel the scrape goat that they will slaughter to bring the end time war where their Mahdi comes back to help them take the world for Allah.
Netenyahu is not blinded by liberal pragmatic thinking where compromise solves the issue because people on both sides are basically good and really want to do what is right. He knows that Iran is led by evil mad men who must not get a nuclear weapon. So yeah, they are going to butt heads and Israel will strike Iran alone to prevent Iran from getting the bomb and the U.S. will play the “we condemn Israel” dumb fool on the world stage and thus brings about the war of Psalm 83. When the Arab nations think that we will not intervene.
Guess What? Israel wins, completely destroys Damascus and takes over more land. Next chapter!
U.S.-ISRAEL COLLISION COURSE at DickMorris.com
With the election of Barack Obama, the United States has moved dramatically to the left in its foreign policy at just the time that Israel, which seems likely to return Bibi Netanyahu to office in early February, is moving to the right. A collision is almost inevitable.
Caroline Glick, the highly astute conservative columnist for the Jerusalem Post, writes that the “international community” believes that Obama “will move quickly to place massive pressure on the next Israeli government to withdraw from Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem and the Golan Heights in the interests of advancing a ‘peace process’ with the Palestinians and the Syrians.” She notes that “people who have been in close contact with Obama’s foreign policy transition team have privately acknowledged that the widespread belief that Obama will move swiftly to put the screws on Israel is fully justified. According to one source who has spent a great deal of time with the transition team since last month’s U.S. elections, Obama’s people are ‘scope-locked’ on Israel.”
Meanwhile, in Israel, there is a growing consensus, reflected in public opinion surveys, that trading land for peace is a chimera. Netanyahu points out that “we do not have a viable partner with whom to negotiate peace.
While Iran moves closer and closer to a bomb that could and will be used against Israel, Obama speaks of extending the American “nuclear umbrella” to cover Israel.
Reading between the lines, this means that he doesn’t think he can stop Iranian nuclear ambitions and will retreat to a policy of deterrence, accepting a nuclear Iran in the bargain.
If Netanyahu wins the election, he will bring with him a determination to stop Iranian nuclear weapons, no matter what, and a refusal to concede more territory in the name of the peace process. But Obama’s foreign policy team will be focusing on pushing Israel in just the opposite direction.
The result is likely to be the most significant divergence between Israeli and American policies since 1956
But Israel probably has the military capacity to bomb Iran and to win the Middle East war against Syria, Hamas, Iran and Hezbollah that is likely to result. Unlike Olmert, Netanyahu will use ground troops right off the bat and will fight such a war to win and to win big. But they may have to do it without their strongest ally: the United States.
When I saw the “nuclear umbrella” idea in the news, I thought that that would be totally useless except to dupe people into thinking that something substantive was being done.
The first problem is that I seriously doubt that Iran would be deterred by MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction). They’ve been saying “bring it on” for the last several years.
And, Don, I think you’re right, we wouldn’t nuke Iran over a dead Israel. (Of course, we know that Israel will not be destroyed, though it looks like Psalm 83 indicates that it will be grievously injured. Nevertheless, Obama & Co. (and most anyone else in power) does think Israel can be destroyed, since they do not have a grasp of Biblical prophesy.)
My Friend, though I was born a Christian and a Gonim, our chance encounter with a lovely Jewish couple, who happened to speak Spanish, who were our neighbors – when my family and I first emigrated from Cuba in 1967 fleeing Castro’s “Proletariat Paradise,” to Newark, NJ – who were the only family and support we had in this new environment, in what was then to us an alien land, and who so unconditionally gave of themselves, even though they were poor, of their love, support, and encouragement to us, to my Mother, my Father, my brother, and I, when we most needed it, has coloured my perception of Judaism to this day!
Afterward I met so many beautiful Jewish people, such as the frail old lady in my youth, who needed to have her mattresses moved from her 4th floor apartment to the lower floor because she was moving, and seeing me and my co-worker, who were in the building for a delivery, she politely asked us if we could help her. We did, and at the end she wanted to pay us. When we refused to accept her payment for our favor, she said: “G-d Bless you! You are such nice Jewish boys!” I could not help but think, as tears welled up in my eyes: That I would ever have the Honor!
I love Israel, and all the young Heroes who daily give their lives so that God’s promise to Israel be fulfilled: The Chosen People, who will again have a King ( self-governance) and be a Nation, even as it has come to pass after two thousand years of unrelenting vicious persecution…and the Holocaust!
Oftentimes I have thought to convert to Judaism, but because I believe in Yeshua, the Jew, I feel I’d be hypocritical and unfaithful were I to convert to Orthodox Judaism. This has held me back.
My point is this, according to Christian Scripture, in the Apocalypse, before the Moshiac comes (whom I personally believe to be Yeshua returning in His Glory), a man as charismatic and as charming as Obama ( the Antichrist?), will be worshiped – even as Obama has been and is still worshiped by the media, the crowds, and the world – and will gather the nations of the earth against Israel, seeking to obliterate the Chosen People off the face of the earth.
My question is this: If after Benjamin Netenyahu becomes Prime Minister of Israel again, Obama, who has shown himself to be so sympathetic to the Islamists, the Palestinians, and their cause, gathers the world against Israel, because Mr. Netenyahu refuses to sell Israel out, would this not indidcate that time prophesed in Christian Scripture about Armaggedon and the coming (or return) of the Moshiac?
Just a thought.
Alberto
The Antichrist will be much more charming and charismatic than Obama and will really be worshiped as God by all that are not in the Lamb’s Books of Life. The man will also be supernatural in the end.
Obama is not this person do not flatter Him? Liberals love him because their God is government and he is pushing a big government agenda. He really cannot fulfill the scriptures about the Antichrist. But if the world goes nuts over this common man with no real achievements just image the adoration from the world when the real Antichrist comes on the scene.
If Bejamin Netenyahu becomes Prime Minister I would expect the war of Pslam 83 to occur very soon but that war is probably before the tribulation period. The war will just bring the end of Israel’s Arab enemies and allow for the peace and security of Israel that is described before the war of Ezekiel chap 38 – 39. If Obama is too hard on Israel here he will lose very powerful support.
You are insane, you nutballs are the real terrorists who want some end time war. You should be arrested now.
Insane, I do not think anybody wants war but some of us know it is coming because of blind hate.
Also, the Bible tells us how it will all end up, so it is not like people who study Bible prophecy are in the dark about the future of Israel and the enemies of Israel that try to cut her off from being a nation (Psalm 83).
People like you that call us terrorists for just telling you the truth are the same ones that lie about the real threat of Islamic terrorists. Your so called “freedom fighters” are fighting for the freedom to put the whole world under Islamic bondage. That tells me that your position of appeasement toward terrorists is encouraging more world terrorism. That really makes you a terrorist since you are enabling more terrorism. When those like you force Israel to appease terrorists in the Middle East for some pretense of peace you can be sure that this progressive insanity will soon bring about the prophesied end time wars.
You should be arrested for hate speech for hate against those who teach their own religious beliefs. When Obamas passes those hate speech laws that you liberals want so much we Bible Believing Christians are going to have to see that liberals are held accountable for the hate that continually spews out of their mouths. The sword of hate speech laws cuts both ways.
I hope that Netenyahu does not cave in to Obama and Biden. There are some indications if one reads the Isreali websites that Netenyahu may be weakening on his postions of the “two-state solution” that he was so strong against during his campaign. I guess we’ll see when he meets with Obama in a week.
I personally believe that the Psalm 83 war is very near. Hamas is licking it’s wounds and trying to regather strength and Hezbollah is waiting in the wings for the opportunity to strike. At one point these guys and other arabs are going to think they have a shot at taking Israel down. And in the background, Iran will be pulling the puppet strings. Unfortunately our weak and naive president with his pandering to the arab world could be a catalyst for this eventuality.
Our “dear leader” or Clown-in-Chief” may be well-educated but must have been asleep in history class when the topic of appeasing dictators and terrorists was taught. I think Israel will have to go it alone which will probably be better in the long run as then they will call their own shots and control their destiny (for a time). Of course, the Lord will be watching out for them which is always a good thing! 😉
GBU
I agree the Pslam 83 war could occurs in months. The problems with Netenyahu is that like all politicians he says what he thinks people want to hear to get into office but after taking office they do the opposite. Also, because of Israel’s form of government he has to please the majority of parties to stay Prime Minister.
The weak position of Obama and the liberals is going to encourage all the predators of the world. It is not just Obama’s economic and social positions that we should fear. I see another world war early next decade. Obama will then become a defacto dictator like FDR became in the second world war. Get ready for the draft, script and rationing cards. People thought that Obama would become their Savior they are going to find they are going to get the opposite.
no worries about our friend in the white house budding heads with Netanyahu, he ain’t in no danger to damage any of his brains, he ain’t got any ! Nettie is a man I greatly admire for this integrity and BACKBONE and he knows that:
“For the Lord has chosen Jacob to be his own, Israel to be his treasured possession” – Psalm 135:4
“May all who hate Zion be turned back in shame” – Psalm 129:5
and has given contra 🙂 GO NETTIE 🙂
Since the time you published this article on December 18th, 2008, we have not had Psalm 83 war. Have your views changed at all or do you still stand by your article and it will be soon as it is now January 2010?
I see a couple of possibilities.
If Israel takes out Iran’s nukes. I think Hezbollah will start firing its 50,000 rockets into Israel. Israel will then have to invade Lebanon, Gaza, and the West bank and that will bring about the reaction found in Psalm 83 from the Arab nations.
On the other hand, Iran could be weakened by civil war and not a air strike. I do not think the Psalm 83 war is going to happen until Iran is weakened because a nuclear Iran is a threat to the Sovereignty of the Arab nations while Israel is just a thorn in their side.
Iran may either be weakened by a strike on their nuclear facilities by Israel or the US, or they could be weakened by a civil war in Iran. If the later is the case the Psalm 83 war might be started by independent Hezbollah actions against Israel and not a counteraction ordered by Iran. Which might be the very reason why Iran is not mentioned in the all Arab Psalm 83 war but Iran does comes with Gog in a latter war.
Nobody knows exactly how and when this will all play out but with 50,000 missiles in the hands of the people surrounding Israel and all the Arab nations supporting the agenda of cutting off Israel from being a nation the war of Psalm 83 will happen very soon. I think it will happen in the days that Obama and Netanyahu rule unless something unforeseen happens to either of them.
I just read that Bibi “caved” to Obama!!!

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, has bowed to US pressure by agreeing for the first time that a Palestinian state should roughly follow the contours of the 1967 ceasefire lines separating the West Bank from Israel.
_____________________________________________________________________________________
I wonder if the Palestinians will overplay their hand in their delight and lead us into Psalm 83.
What is the source of such a claim?
The Telegraph (UK) via Drudge
The Jerusalem Post:
“Israel has told Middle East power brokers it was ready to discuss a proposed package on borders with Palestinians to help Western powers revive stalled peace talks, an official in Jerusalem said on Monday.
The official denied reports by Israeli and other media outlets that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu had backed down from an earlier rejection of US President Barack Obama’s proposal to negotiate a pullback to 1967 lines.”
Thanks Bob, I read the article. My observations are that the 1967 ceasefire lines are not the pre 1967 borders of Israel so the Palestinians would never agree to the Jews keeping that land or recognize the state of Israel. It leaves Jerusalem, Samaria and the Golan Heights in Jewish hands so that proposal is going nowhere.
Here is a link to a map to the ceasefire lines

Here is what Obama is proposing that Israel go back to
http://prophecyproof.blogspot.com/2011/05/what-israel-might-look-like-if-obamas.html
A careful reading of Ezkiel 38 and 39 tells me God says it is His land , He will control the
events there to His liking. It is clear to me that He intends to get Israel’s attention as to
whom their Messiah is, how he does it is His business.
Ya know Don, your comments are brilliant!! I think Netanyahu has just pulled off a diplomatic stroke of genius that one would expect from an MIT and IDF graduate.
Now, Obama has to run out and explain what his position is and why it is different from Netanyahu’s.
I think the War of Psalm 83 just moved closer rather than more distant.
