The liberals are using the economic downturn as an excuse to get every social program they ever wanted funded in one shot in the name of a economic stimulus package. They now do not have to push new spending bills through Congress and be exposed for the big spending liberals that they are. They just lie and pass a fraudulent bill and call it a stimulus package and the sucker taxpayers do not know the difference.
If you look at what they are putting in this bill it will not stimulate the economy. This is nothing but a big increase in the government welfare state and it will bankrupt this nation. We will now have 2 trillion dollars deficits each year that Obama is in office. What do you think that will do to the dollar and inflation? Your soon going to find out when we have the living standards of Mexico.
Just do the math. No nation is going to buy trillions of dollars each year to continue to fund our massive deficits at low interest rates. Since no nation will fund our debt at low interest rates the treasury will have to just print more and more dollars to pay the bills causing the value of the dollar to collapse. That means the worst hyperinflation in our history. If they dare try to stop the inflation it will produce the worst depression in our history and national default. The only other scenario possible is to pay much higher interest rates on our treasury bonds so that nations will take the risk to hold them but the truth is that we simply cannot pay high interest rates on the 20 trillion dollar debt that we will have in a few years. Therefore, the government will have to double or triple taxes on those who pay taxes to pay our debts. That also would bring the worst depression in our history and would also bring default and bankruptcy.
So allow government to do this and that is your future. You think we have problems now? You have seen nothing yet. You will see nothing less then the destruction of this nation as we know it. But what did you expect when you continue to elect tax and spend liberals to run our government, fiscal responsibility?

Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats are playing the voters for fools with the so-called stimulus package. The massive $825 billion package is not even targeted on programs to stimulate the economy. Instead, it is laced with runaway government spending for increased welfare, overgrown bureaucracy, pork, political payoffs, and other waste. That runaway spending is causing record smashing deficits of $1.5 trillion or more, equivalent to over 50% of the entire federal budget for fiscal 2008.
what we have is not only a stimulus bill that will not work. What we have is a fraudulent bill that is not even focused on stimulus at all, but on runaway spending for liberal, big government spending programs, meaning more welfare, overgrown bureaucracy, pork, political payoffs, and waste.

I am sickened by what our country is turning into. And amzed that so many people are blind to what is really going on in these stimulus packages, and worse our country in general. Watching the election was so disheartening, it wasn’t the presidential race that upset me insomuch as the idiots that were reelected to congress, and how in the world did Franken win by a majority?!? America will not wake up until it is too late. I know you said in another article that Jesus’ coming is not as near as we’d like to believe, but in all honestly Don, this is beginning to feel like end times. I am blown away by the total disregard for anything even remotely decent anymore…It was too early for you to shut down the dumb, delusional blog.
My daughter and I were watching the news the other day and there was a judge in IL, I believe, who ruled against “moment of silence” in public schools because it put too much pressure on children, and may make them feel obligated to contemplate God or prayer: OH NO, NOT THAT!! Since when did it become wrong to consider these things? I am baffled, and honestly scared by all I see.

I am sure it will feel like the end times to Americans who want America the way it was but I do not think we can project the return of the Lord by just what is happening in the USA anymore than we can project the second coming on what is happening in Mexico. I think the USA has to disappear from the world scene as a world power before the end time events take place. That will allow for the actually powers mentioned in the Bible to take center stage.
Even the downfall of the USA as a world power will take a number of years, perhaps as much as a decade. So, I do think the second coming of Jesus will be as soon as some are now teaching (2012- 2019) but I do think the time is short and I do not believe the Rapture has to occur just seven years before the tribulation as some teach. The Rapture is always Imminent.
If you looks at all world trends in relation to Bible prophecy the whole stage is just not set up yet for the prophetic tribulation events, Israel must be at peace, Russia must have a great army and allies, The Revised Roman Empire must be running the show, a wo hundred million man army from the East must be capable of killing a third of men, buy and sell Beast technology can not even be implement until you have long range over the air communications system and install the build and install the cashless equipment worldwide, Babylon has to rise again and that is only still in the planning stage, world government is gaining but certainly national sovereignty still rules etc. So it cannot happen in the next ten years. but it certainly could take place in twenty or so.

I would not have stopped posting on the Demented Delusional or Dumb Blog if the number of visitors made it a worthwhile use of my time. But after two years of posting on this Blog I still was receiving only about 200 visitors a day. Besides, it should be obvious to all now that most of world chooses to be insane. So there is not much reason to point out the insanity the world wants.
Also, the important articles that I might have posted on that Blog can still be posted on this world trends and Bible prophecy blog. I really wanted to combine the two blogs together into one but that is almost impossible without losing the links within the posts. So I think it is best to make that blog an archive of articles that people can still find through search engines and to put all new posts here. I do reserve the right to change my mind but since I am doing this all myself I really do not see how I will ever have the time to start posting on that Blog again.
It is not unlikely that some Christian persecution will began here. It will happen slowly at first but then pick up as the Liberals smell blood but as you know that all could backfire on them with a counter revolution and even secession of some states from the Union. So like some astute men have said the future of America may be the balkanization of it into different regional factions. The wild cards are the depression, and riots when people lose hope, terrorism, and martial law. Nobody knows how this will all really play out but it still will not be the tribulation it is simply the decline of America because America left God. The same thing will be going on in Europe due to their appeasement to Islam and the cost of social welfare but the inevitable civil strife there will not be the great tribulation either it but will just set the stage for a European counterrevolution and civil war that will bring about the rise of the future Beast.
Pakistan and Afghanistan will become the Liberals Vietnam and it probably spread to become a world war from India to Iran. North Korea is also a wild card and war could break out there at any time. So is Mexico and some South American nations. Then there is Africa. Thinks are going to continue to worse in the world but the end is not yet. When someone comes speaking great things and actually puts a plan into place that solves the problems of the world then the real end will come. Until then all this world insanity and its wars are just the beginning of sorrows. Like I said in the article you have seen nothing yet.
Don, thanks for the time it took for the update. I have read your articles quite extensively, and know we are still a ways off from End Times. I just have reached the point where I cannot even stand the news, and my only hope is to reach as many as possible for Christ, because I see the “writing on the wall” and know His coming is emminent. You are so right about the demented delusional news becoming more than any one person can do, it would take a small army these days to keep up with it. My heart is truly burdened by all I see and read, I cannot imagine why God hasn’t just said the heck with it and flood the earth again (yeah, I know a holy God cannot go back on His Word). I am encouraged that His perfect plan will unfold, but am saddened for my loved ones. My children are 14 and 18, and I feel so bad for them that they are facing all that is going on. I am, however, grateful that they both are saved, but that still doesn’t take away the frustration of seeing all that is going on.
I am curious, Don, do you have children/grandchildren? And if so, what do you tell them as they face the inevitable? I try to keep my children focused on the fact that God is working every step of the way, and His perfect plan is unfolding, but it still is a burden for someone my age, yet alone the younger generation. My heart is also burdened for younger families. How do you help your children prepare for the future? Is college worth it? Maybe this can be an idea for your next post, when you get the time.
Are you ever afraid of all you know is going to transpire? It seems that the collapse of this country will not be a small event, no matter how it comes about.

The world has never been a picnic even here in the United States. Look at history the world has seen some very dark times. In any generation people will certainly have serious issues sometime during their life and every generation on earth ended up dead.
The best thing that anyone can do is prepare for eternity by faith in Jesus Christ. After that we are only left here to do the will of God on earth. Every believer has to deal with the issue of what God wants them to do to serve Him on earth. So no, you do not just give it all up and wait for the Rapture. Believers of any age should prepare to work for the Lord and when you are prepared you work for the Lord. For unbelievers it matters not what they do because all their works will come to nothing anyway.
Me wife cannot have children so we do not have any and I got married late in life so I cannot adopt either.
By the way, God said He would never again judge the earth with a worldwide flood but He also said next time He will judge the earth with fire.

I wanted to share with you that I was discussing this with my daughter on the way to ice skating last night, and asking her how she feels, or what she thinks about the end times and I guess I have no reason to worry for her: Her response to me was “if I die, I know I am going to heaven, and I don’t worry about God destroying this earth, because then the new earth will be better”. From the mouths of babes, huh? But I still want to do my best to train both my children to be working Christians not “waiters” so please pray for me…
