L.A. Gangs: Nine Miles and Spreading

Lawless gangs are more a threat to America than terrorists. So why does America put up with this lawlessness? If America cannot figure out how to stop inner city and drug gangs it will not have to worry about external threats, because we will soon be Iraq.

LA Weekly – News – L.A. Gangs: Nine Miles and Spreading – Peter Landesman – The Essential Online Resource for Los Angeles: “L.A. Gangs: Nine Miles and Spreading
More codeless, arbitrary and brutal than ever… and coming to a neighborhood near you”

  1. The enemy within again.

I’ve read half of the article and plan to finish reading it later. It’s really tragic and I hate to see how so many people get into this sort of lifestyles that are filled with nothing but uncontrolled violence, drug use and hatred. Young people who love to kill each other. And those damned Rap stars and fellow idiots at MTV inciting kids with no ghetto backgrounds to pursue the same path! I have a cousin like that, you know. They’re going to burn in hell for destroying young people like that!

They have to deal with the root causes of the emergence of those wangsters right now. And one of the root causes – and I was glad to read they finally admit it – is this rotten Hip Hop culture that is glorified by destructive broadcasters like MTV.

I wrote a reply to your comment about U.S. Rap in the ‘Interesting News Articles’ blog a week or two ago that you’ve probably not read because the post about the riots in France is now all the way down the main page. I think it suits this article even better. The problems in Paris are pretty much the same + the Islamic factor. Here it is:

“I listened to American hip hop as well but I never liked it as much as its French counterpart. I think it’s mostly due to the style of music. The content of French rap lyrics is also somewhat more profound or subtle than that of many American rappers, in my opinion.

But whether it’s French, American or Chinese for that matter, it usually all comes down to the same moronic counter-culture revolutionary and hateful if not anti-White racist bull. Rappers whining about ‘evil commercialization’ while they’re probably the best example of what commercial non-art and non-music actually is.

They claim to just tell the way things are in their ghetto neigborhouds but instead of encouraging young people in those ghettos to work themselves out of trouble and stay away from drugs, violence and prostitution, they basically encourage these things and cause themselves and others even more trouble. They simply like to remain in their role of the ‘protelariat victims.’ Meanwhile, they walk in the most expensive sports clothes you can imagine, show off their expensive luxury cars in videos, use drugs and promote the use of weed, and surround themselves with a bunch of ugly whores wearing too much make-up and too few clothes.

Not to forget the language they use. Frankly, I don’t get how you English-speaking people can allow this vulgar language and lyrics of such offensive content to be broadcasted. I don’t get how you people can listen to a bunch of idiots saying the most hateful and obscene and disgusting things. People in my country ‘sing’ (or ‘rap’) these lyrics and use a lot of English vulgar words like they meant nothing. If I had to listen to the same music in my native language, I’d probably be shocked and feel ashamed to hear it in public.

So yeah it’s real great music, isn’t it! Especially if you consider hardly any of them can sing and don’t even make their own music – well, some do know how to use a drum computer, but that’s still pretty artificial.

It’s utmost crap and I would have to say that Iran and the Congo made a very good decision in banning this (c)rap.”

From my experience and what I see happening around me, I think Bible-believing Christians should avoid the demonic Pop culture and not conform to it. Much of today’s modern and Western music and popular culture is demonic through and through. How would you explain people to dress and even dye their hair in black and cut themselves, or people wanting to be gangsters having fun killing off other people – and all because of music?

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.” — 1 Peter 5:7-9

  2. Sorry, I didn’t realize. I thought I’d post it here anyway since it kind of fits the subject. I’ve finished reading the article in the meantime. I must say it’s shocking. I got shivers as I was reading the second half of this article. Ninety percent of the males getting sexually abused in one of those neighborhoods? That’s unreal. And the violence. They shoot people for fun. That’s just insane. But what I hate most about it is the fact that kids grow up like this. They have no families with parents that take up their responsibilities in raising the kids and protecting them.

These days we’re gettig so used to seeing and hearing things like that in movies or in hip hop music that we don’t realize how serious this really is and how it’s destroying the lives of so many people. Meanwhile the progressive tolerant open-minded people think it’s cool to listen to music that glorifies violence, prostitution, drugs and anarchism. They even imitate it and think of it as if there’s nothing wrong about it. Speaking of nihilism!

I guess this article also gives us an idea of what those banlieues in Paris may be like. As you know, police simply don’t set foot in some of those neigborhoods anymore.
