Another Jewish New Year has come and gone and there has been no Rapture like some have predicted. This false presumption by some has occurred on each Feast of Trumpets since at least 1988. Some date setters will now have to modify their websites once again. There will be a whole lot of people that will have to modify their websites and teachings come the Feast of Trumpets 2012.
People that emphatically claim that they believe Jesus will come on or before that date really should be giving their money to Christian ministries while their is still time since they will not be needing it in two years. These, love to tell others that they have the time of the Lord’s coming and Rapture figured out but their own actions say otherwise. So why believe them? At least the cult members that sold all they had and sat on a hill, or the ones that drank the poison thinking they were going on a ride on the big Bopp comet deserve some respect for their faithful action. Too bad their faith was misplaced on delusional liars.
Even many of the billionaires of the world know they can’t take it with them and plan to give half away. So, if you’re one of those who know your going to be out of here in two years put your money where your mouth is. I wrote this article last year but I have yet to receive a million dollar check and I doubt if anyone else has either from Christians planning to leave on their own schedule (cashier checks or money orders please. No personal checks because you’re just too fickle , it will bounce).
Speaking about the Jewish New Year, it brings Israel and the Middle East to mind. The new peace process has started. That process is also the classic example of insanity (you know, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results). I guess after this farce peace charade there will be another war. The next war should be smashing in all respects, in fact, it could reshape the whole Middle East.
For all practical purposes Iran already has a nuclear bomb and knows how to deliver it in spite of wishful thinking people saying it will take another year. That makes me wonder what kind of a delusion the Jews are living under to allow Iran to cross all of the red lines that they said Iran would not be allowed to cross. It seems the leaders of Israel either are playing a game to appease Obama but really know that war will follow the peace charade or they have gone totally delusional.
I will tell you a secret – if you always expect the opposite of what our Presidents emphatically say you can pretty much foretell the future. It is a law of political physics that I named “Lips Law“. I named the law after George H.W. Bush “read my lips, no new taxes“. Bill Clinton obviously followed “Lips Law” when saying that “he did not have sex with that woman”. George Bush Jr. kept “Lips Law” regularly, and we all know that Obama has made “Lips Law”, the Constitution that he governs by.
It seems to me that we are arming everyone to the teeth for a Middle East war while pretending that doing this will bring peace. We just announced $60 billion in military equipment to Saudi Arabia. My guess is that this was to appease them so they would promise that they would not get nukes from Pakistan to counter the Iranian threat to them. Has anyone told Obama that Arabs and Muslims lie all the time?
I got a kick out of the Koran burning reaction last week. Has anyone noticed that many Muslims will go nuts over just about anything, they are a people full of rage. Some will find something to riot about no matter what we do. Even cartoons or teddy bears named Muhammad will set them off. Come to think of it, the way to win this war against the hateful radicals without killing the peaceful Muslims is to publicly knock the stuffing out of teddy bears named Muhammad. Then the viscous predators of Islam will come out of their caves and mosques in a rage and burn our flag and shout death to America. Meanwhile, we target the raging predators with our own predators. See how simple it is to defeat raging Islamics? We just use their own rage against them.
National elections are coming up in less than two months and it now looks like Obama and the Far Left will have a difficult time passing anything in Congress in 2011 and 2012. So, expect some sneaky tricks in the lame duck session after the election. After that, I think there will be rule by executive order and blackmail. For example, if congress wants the troops funded they will have to also fund the rest of Obama’s budget or he will not sign it. The main objective will be to demonize the Republicans for not passing vetoed essential bills that does not include the funding that the President wants. Obama might even shut down government in the fall of 2011 and blame the Republicans. He also might get his butt impeached.
I think our economy will not be going anywhere barring a third world war. The critical question is when will other nations start dumping the dollar? My guess is that they should want to do that by sometime next year but the Middle East might look so ominous by that time that they will hold on to dollars for safety. I think a world war is pretty much inevitable by 2012.
If we do not have a world war we will have hyperinflation in the US. Neither will be the end of the world (although it might be seen as such for those believing the 2012 end of the world fantasy). In any case, whether it is war or hyperinflation expect rationing of many things in the next few years. What about hording gold and silver to prepare for it like many are touting? Gold and silver won’t buy you rationing coupons but there will be a black barter market if you’re willing to reap the consequences of breaking the law in a nation that is on a war footing and under de facto martial law.
It seems to me that Europeans have about reached the critical fed up point with Islam and immigration. I think parties like the Dutch Freedom Party are about to explode across Europe. Unfortunately it will also bring back the rise of the undesirable type of nationalism.
Here at home we are only one major event from States and people taking things in their own hands about illegal immigration if the Feds don’t ramp up their own efforts to enforce the border and the law. I don’t see how we will get through another year without some major killings near the border that will bring the counter-reactions.
Want some good news? Within a couple of years the churches will be full and views to end time Christian websites will increase tremendously (if the government does not censor us).

I view these as a waste of resources: The government can (and likely will) make private ownership of precious metals (except jewelry) illegal AGAIN. And if you own gold or silver on PAPER you actually only own PAPER. Maybe basic supplies and some niceties like coffee, spices and such will ultimately be more valuable and more easily traded? Of course, basic skills are a must. A close walk with our Lord is most important of all…
Speaking of “gold” I was reminded again yesterday:

Isn’t is sort-of amazing how “gold” is referred-to as merely a **perishable**? We think of gold as being so enduring, both as a substance and as a store of wealth and even beauty. Compared with the faith our Father is developing in us, it is as: NOTHING! The growing of our faith is like the growing of our young bodies – as healthy children of God we naturally grow. Even more, God uses ALL THINGS, good and bad, to make us more like His Son in character. (Romans 8:28-29) AND the growth of our faith parallels our growth in Christlikeness. SO, it may very well be that we are running a race, not against each other, but against ourselves to see *how much* we will allow His Spirit to remake us, and that the measure of our Christlikeness is really a far more important thing to God than the quantity or even quantity of the good works He does through us (EVEN THOSE works, serve to grow our Christlikeness). How amazing all of this is. Truly, we are in training for the “Big Leagues” of Eternity!!
Actually, I see this (censoring) coming rather soon: I was really hit by this when I learned that Rackspace, the host for Dove World Outreach Center (of the Koran-burning controversy), pulled their website and ended their business relationship because the site violated their terms. Mind you, a great many Biblical-oriented sites could be said to do this right now because western culture is shifting away from a Judeo-Christian orientation. SO, all it would take to pull-the-plug on any of these sites would be a bit of notoriety. (On the other hand, this may not be so bad, because I think more people are won to Jesus through personal relationships than through any mass media. And as the “love of many grows cold,” those who lavish love upon others as an outpouring of their relationship with Jesus, will become “living” chapters of His Word, which will not return to Him void, but will accomplish His purpose – and much of that purpose involves the saving and then the healing of people.)
Good comment, and what you said reminds me that I need to look for a web host and domain name registrar that does not censor. If there even is such an animal? As you noted even apart from government these hosting businesses can take down your website at anytime if there is something you say that they or others do not like. Free speak on the Internet will soon mean politically correct speech.

There probably is not a hosting service in the US that would not have such terms in their contract. Actually, in today’s world, they would be foolish to not to reserve such rights to themselves. Even if you were to host your site on your own web server, that server would need to connect to an Internet Service Provider, and they reserve the right to pull-the-plug for anything they disagree with or exposes them to frowns from the authorities.
You might be able to be hosted on one of the “gray” servers that reside in legal no-man’s-lands – BUT in a pinch, say when the the AC makes his appearance, you can bet that such places will not be a safe-haven any longer…
I very much believe that the Internet will still be useful to God, but that it’s use will be be sharply curtailed at some point in the relatively near future. I think the only sites that may survive will be furtive like the “pirate” radio stations of today (and like the Tribulation Saints will be in the future): they may need to resort to techniques used by hackers and spammers and they will be seriously hunted, their effectiveness limited as much as worldly-possible. YET as with all our endeavors in Him now, it will be our Lord who brings any sort of victory, and I bet we will be in for some pleasantly shocking surprises at the Bema Judgement!
I really don’t give a darn what happens to websites after the Antichrist arrives and controls everything. I do not think that day will arrive for at least two decades. Besides, in the last 42 months when the Antichrist reigns the Church will be gone. Even in the prior 42 months the Christians message will be given to all by the 144,000 and the two prophets without any need of the Internet. So having my site up in the 70th week of Daniel is the least of my concerns.
My concern is censorship of Christian worldviews right now and increasing in the next few years. I see that as a three pronged problem. First a Domain Name Registrar can take down your Domain. Second a Web Host could take down your website, and third a ISP could block local access. I can see where even Christian Hosts might have pulled the site of the pastor that said he would burn the Koran.
So here’s the Issue. First, how do you find a Domain Name Registrar that will ignore complaints about un-politically correct Christian worldviews that could offend Liberals, Apostates, Muslims, Mormon’s Homosexuals, etc.? Second, how do you find a Web Host that does the same, and third how do you establish a Internet connection where they will not censor you?
On the third issue I guess you could go mobile, use various WIFI points and keep changing your email but if your going to do it from a home base you will have to go through the local providers available.
On the second issue I think you can find a host that is libertarian and will resist censorship but on the first issue there just are not many Domain Name Registrars and if they do not comply they themselves can be shut down. Perhaps right now the answer is to go through another country that does not get play the politically correct game? Any ideas?
Well Don, I mostly had the near future in mind when I made my comment though I used the obvious example when the AC takes-over.
With Rackspace’s very, VERY public termination of Terry Jones’ site recently, I think a blaring precedent has been set and it will not be very long before sites such as this one (or mine, if found) are removed. I easily envision numerous site-take-downs occurring in the next year; I don’t think it will be long after before such sites are outlawed as well.
At some point Christians will be faced with defying the authorities. Then the question arises “does God’s overriding permission to me to speak freely of the Gospel despite the authorities extend to my communicating the same things on the Internet, radio, phone, or whatever?” I could almost certainly keep a website up “on the air,” but I would almost certainly need to resort to illegal means to do so. Would this please God?
Christians are to obey God and not men. Giving the gospel on the Internet is no different then the apostles proclaiming the gospel in the streets even through the Jewish leaders forbade them to do so.
You could be right about about sites being taken down soon, which is all the more reason for me to find providers that will not comply.

I find joy in reading the comments of true Christians. We’re a dying breed it seems. It’s easy for the world to get us upset regarding Islam or illegals, but aren’t we commanded to love our friends and enemies?
Who is really showing love? Those that expose the evil predictors of this world or those that turn a blind eye to evil and thus continue to allow millions to be devoured and destroyed by them?
If you love your enemies with God’s love you will do what you can to expose the darkness so the light can shine and set them free of their bondage to evil.
Was Jesus showing hate for others by calling the oppressors of Israel a generation of vipers or was he showing love? Jesus was exposing the spiritual darkness oppressing Israel through its spiritual blind leaders so that those in Israel that were given eyes to see the Light would be saved. That is God’s love.
There is a balance here:
Surely speaking God’s truth is a form of His love, BUT we are to speak the truth in love. (Ephesians 4:15).
There is a time and place for all such things. To know when, where and how to express God’s love, speaking hard truths so that any subsequent wounds are those that bring healing: these require God’s wisdom and our gentleness and humility.
It seems that so many believers think they can just harshly and arrogantly “spout-off” a few scripture verses and leave the mess for God’s Spirit to clean-up. They think that they have “done God’s work” when in great likelihood they have pushed someone further away from God. Certainly God *can* convict and bring someone to salvation this way, but we can see that that’s not what usually happens.
“…Always be prepared to given an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.? (1 Peter 3:15-16)
What is often missing in our “truth-telling” is a trusting, relationship where we have already demonstrated our “good behavior in Christ.” A life lived in Him opens minds and then hearts to the truth that God wants to convey!
Another related serious error among believers is that we seem to expect that unbelievers should just “straighten-up and fly-right” THEN Jesus will have something to do with them. The (hard) truth (for many of us) is that it does no good for an unbeliever to try to cleanup their lives without *first* being remade spiritually by accepting God’s pardon through Jesus. Once they have done that, His Spirit will start convict them of their need to turn-away from all that is displeasing to God AND HE will empower them to do this!
At some level, all (sane/mentally-competent) people, whose hearts are not fully hardened, know that they are morally broken – God wants them to face that brokenness and accept His “fix” for the problem. Sometimes naming/counting their sins for them helps, but very often it doesn’t help and actually hinders. Addressing what they believe to be their deepest need is often the key. How do you get the “key” to someone’s heart? You build a trusting relationship with them, and they need to see that Jesus is real in us before they will likely ever accept anything we say. We have to share in Jesus’ risk in order to win people to Him: He died for us; we need to live for Him – it’s like having “skin in the game,” and unbelievers take notice when we do this and it impresses them.

That all sounds well and good but how does it relate to exposing the evils of Islam that have 1.5 billion people in bondage and are out to kill the rest in the world that will not submit to their demonic cult. It seems to me that speaking truth in love to the general population of the world is exposing Islam for the Satanic evil that it is. In doing so I am not worried about offending people that are already hate filled lunatics that kill people in the name of God. You do realize that few in Islam are asking Christians anything but for them to submit to Islam and become apostates.
People might know they are sinners but Religions like Islam tells them they can please God by doing something good, like killing unbelievers. If you think Christians are going to stop Muslim Jihad using Christianize toward them you are quite mistaken. God will certainly raise up a real army against Islam just like He does to defeat all other world tyranny. In the midst of an insane world Christians get to give the gospel to those that have ears to hear in the midst of these world storms.

It may not be possible to live at peace with such (Islamnic) people on a group-to-group basis, but God is *very clear* to us about how we should respond to such people on an individual basis. What I wrote applies even if it seems that it does not.
I agree, if you have established a relationship where you can given an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. That however is not the case with the Islam cult. It may be the case with individual Muslims.
I also am not saying that Christians should take vengeance but they should protect those they have charge over and the innocent from predators if it is in their power to do so.

There are actually Muslims who live in our neighborhood. They are very quiet and discreet. At this point there are many Christians in the area. We would never win
them by having a muslim book burning. I am not mentioning other religions right now. Just the Muslims. Being a lady I will say that I dislike seeing the Muslim women having to wear those long cotton outfits with the scarf around their head.
They have a dead spiritual look in their eyes. They need the life that is Jesus in them. Jesus Christ makes us a new creation when we accept his free gift of salvation.The Muslim ladies sometimes will smile back in public because I am a nice person. Some of the Muslim ladies give me a blank stare when I smile. This is my personal observation about the Muslims who need to receiv Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. I do not dislike them but want them to have Jesus in their hearts too. The undercurrents of what they believe is very militant. Some of them probably have a very bold leader………..
For further discusion sometime would be the young Mormon men wearing the white dress shirts, dark neck ties and dark slacks. They need Jesus also. They have dead spiritual expressions on their faces because they also need Jesus.

Nationalism is a good, healthy thing. It’s normal and it should be the desired state. Specifically, people should be proud of their country and their culture. They shouldn’t be walking around like suicidal liberal maniacs who want to “off” western civilization. Who think the secrets of life are found in Indonesia or India, rather than cracking open the family Bible.
I’m amazed by Christians who lament and even piously judge Western Civilization for turning away from God. Well, what do you expect when you import millions of people from countries that practice other religions. Kind of hard to say “We’re a Christian nation” in the schools and government and corporate boardrooms with so many people practicing some other religion or a wacked out form of Christianity.
Look at how God advised the ancient Israelites and it’s a far cry different than how countries like the US and England manage their affairs. Import foreign people with a high birth-rate, who worship foreign gods. How did those Philistines work out for Israel?
