Koenig’s perspectives on Bible prophecy and world issues, May 2011

Rev. David Wilkerson died in a car crash late last month. He was best known nationally for the book “The Cross and the Switchblade”. He was pastor of Times Square Church in New York City. Wilkerson also has warned this nation of coming judgment on this nation for over thirty years. Whether his highly published visions of judgment were actually coming from God like he claimed or just from his own mind because of his fear that God would judge this nation is debatable. (Even Wilkerson said the failed prophecies that he made probably came from his own fears.) Nevertheless, what Wilkerson generally perceived that would happen in this nation becomes inevitable if people in this nation continue the downward spiral into wickedness.

Terry James, author and co-founder of the widely read Rapture Ready Bible Prophecy website had a heart attack last Friday so let’s keep him in our prayers. The last I heard he is recovering.

We talk much about the Lord coming for the Church soon, but historically each individual in the Church went to be with the Lord when God called them home individually. That could happen in an instant for any one of us. We need to keep that in mind and keep things in proper perspective.

After ten years the U.S. special forces caught up with Osama Bin Laden and sent him to his just reward. I assure you he now is quite aware that there were no seventy virgins waiting for him where he went. Of course there are those that think that this is all staged like the sudden appearance of Obama birth certificate. They believe Osama was killed years ago. I admit, when buildings are torn down in record time for some reason, when sites are bulldozed in record time and when bodies are disposed of in record time at sea I have to wonder about the motivation. Perhaps the government likes to enable conspiracy theories because that helps them identify the radicals. When martial law come they will then just round them up (I just created another conspiracy theory.) 😎

Nevertheless, like most of us I will take the government’s word on this because I trust the special forces that were involved. I have a real tough time seeing heroes in our special ops units knowingly covering up conspiracies to deceive the American people. Of course conspiracy theory believers might say it was all staged for the special forces and the guy they killed was really not Osama. Anyway, whatever the truth, the way that our government handled this situation by dumping the body at sea has just created another conspiracy theory that will never ever die on the Internet.

So if this was really Osama like I wish to believe. I have to give credit to Obama for giving the order. Doing what he did was high risk since something could have gone wrong that could have made him look like Jimmy Carter. They were not even 100 percent sure that Bin Laden was there and what would Pakistan say about a special forces operations in their sovereign country that did not find Bin Laden hiding there? As it is, there will still be fall-out since we clearly invaded Pakistan without their permission because we could not trust them. Not that there is anything wrong with doing that, when your “ally” is harboring a mass killer of Americans being safe-housed by radical factions that have infiltrated all levels of their Pakistani government and simply cannot be trusted. Nevertheless, the easier decision would have been to get 100 percent proof or to involve the Pakistanis and then the mission almost certainly would have failed.

Having said all that, maybe it did not happen like Obama claimed. Here is a report that says Obama was overruled by Military and Intelligence officials (An interesting report on what really might have went down.) Now I have come across what looks like detailed insider information about the whole operation and its not at all flattering to Obama.

Osama was living  in a secure luxuriant compound in the heart of Pakistan for the last six years, hundreds of feet from a top Pakistani military center, and we are supposed to believe that the Pakistan leaders knew nothing about it? Perhaps some in the government did not, but that’s the problem, the people we say are running Pakistan either hate us or they are not really running Pakistan.

Pakistan has been a hindrance in our efforts in Afghanistan as well. I say we should pull out of Afghanistan, stop giving aid to Pakistan and let India take over the whole area. It’s time to support the enemies of Islam and not to expect the leaders in Islam to suddenly change their spots. They are all gearing up for a war against the West. I think right now we need to secure our own hemisphere and let these other areas of the world do what they do best. Self destruct!

Canada just had an election and the conservatives will now be the majority for the next four years. The conservative majority in the Parliament and the conservative Prime Minister will now be able to create a very business friendly state and further develop Canada’s huge oil resources. Perhaps some states in the U.S. might have to consider joining Canada after our 2012 election? The conservative party in Canada will put in place a plan to balance their budget in four years and they will be exporting more and more oil so the Canadian dollar is likely to get stronger. It seems to me that Americans might think about investing in Canada and perhaps some conservatives should think about relocating there if they can handle the weather and are willing to take an oath to the Queen of England. I guess I will have to see how this goes in Canada in the next year or two before I make any further recommendations.

I would think living in beautiful British Columbia Or parts of Alberta would be awesome. Having come from a border area I always considered Canadians to be Americans anyway. I never did feel like I was going into a foreign country when I went across the bridge into Canada. Canadians near the border are pretty much just like us..ay. Only a few years ago liberals were talking about moving to Canada to get away from George Bush Jr., but few actually did, and they probably are now glad, because now the Canadian government is much more conservative than the United States.

After three years of being asked for his long form birth certificate and after spending millions to keep it hidden Obama suddenly came up with it.  After looking at it you really have to wonder what the big delay was all about? Some think that this document that Obama released has been altered. I don’t know. One thing I do know is that the liberals are trying to use this document to make fools out of those that demanded to see it. It seems to me that they want to get as much mileage as they can to cower anyone that would dare question Obama’s pedigree after Cosri’s book comes out with questionable information about Obama.

Seems the Republicans have been largely silenced by this document and they are no longer willing to risk being labeled by the media by bringing up Obama’s questionable history. Obama even used the annual correspondent dinner that Donald Trump was invited to try to make a complete ass out of Donald Trump for his demanding that Obama show his Birth certificate. Since when is asking for constitutional proof to satisfy a critical constitutional requirement something silly? It is typical for these people to attack the messenger because they think they are above the law.

I do not think that it is wise to make a multi-billionaire that is likely to be running against you a personal enemy. Trump has the resources to turn over every rock that Obama ever hid under and Trump now has good reason to be vindictive if that is within him. Perhaps Obama will finally be vetted whether he likes it or not. Corsi’s new book might just give the information that a bull in a China shop like Trump might run with. Nobody else running with the Republicans has the guts or the resources to get into Obama’s real life but Donald Trump might.

No matter what you think of Trump. The last poll said he was number one among republican candidates. That’s not a bad position to be in especially since there are no really attractive candidates in the race at this point. One thing about Trump is that most of old Republican establishment do not like him. However, some conservatives and Christians Tea Party people could be persuaded that Trump genuinely is running because he  does not like the direction that Obama and fellow socialists have taken the country. Then if the Republican establishment swift boat Trump he will run against them as an Independent

If Trump is forced to run as an Independent because Republicans choose someone like Romney or Newt again Trump very well could get 20 percent of a Republican crossover vote in the national election. He also would get almost all the Independent vote and even the Democrats disgruntled with Obama might vote for him. That could make this a close three-way horse race. Also the Tea Party might barf and break away from the Republicans and run their strongest candidate on another party and these four could so split the Electoral College vote that nobody could get the required 270.

If that happens the president would be chosen by the House of Representatives. Each state only gets one vote for one of the top three candidates. The first candidate to win the vote of 26 states is the new president. With the make-up of the House of Representatives today, it is not impossible that the more rural low population states could find the 26 votes needed to elect the tea party nominee for President if that person could beat either Trump, or the Republican establishment nominee, and come in third. If any candidate of the top three parties could not get the required 26 votes there would be a brokered deal by the other two and the winner would not be Obama.

Anyway, this election could get very interesting if Obama falls to about 40 percent in the general polls and Trump’s numbers stay high but he does not beat someone like Romney for the Republican nomination but then runs as an Independent. Especially if the Tea Party decides that Romney or whoever the Republicans nominate are not going to try to solve our overspending problem and constitutional issues. They will then run their most popular candidate on the Constitutional Party or something similar. The tea party candidate very well could win in some of the mountain and great plains states and even one or two southern states.

Here’s a scenario that paints a possible picture. Trump takes New York and a few other big states to get 100 votes. Romney takes a number of states and gets 100 votes and the tea party candidate takes a number of low population states and gets 70 votes. Obama takes the majority of the electoral college votes but only gets 268 electoral votes so he is two short of the required 270 and it then must go to the House of Representatives where more than 26 states are leaning right. If it does, the next President may be brokered, but bye-bye Obama.

  1. I want to at least mention 1st that David Wilkerson’s movie “The Cross and the Switchblade”, though, very old by today’s standards has to be appreciated for what he tried to do, even back then…it’s a very 70’s style movie, starring Eric Estrada (before CHiPs fame).

In regard to Pakistan, Palestine, and the others…

Maybe I’m missing something here in Economics 101 or political reasoning, but for the life of me, I can’t come up with any good reason why the U.S. continues to give aid to all these M.E. countries (that want to kill us), in the 1st place…from taxpayer dollars. Israel being the exception.

I think it shows that there’s more going on behind the scenes (by the real string pullers) in Washington, then we know…or will ever know…that’s my conspiracy theory.

  2. Hmmm, “268” Electoral College votes? Two shy of the required? THAT would not stop the liberals; they would FIND a way to ensure that Obama won whether it meant corrupting the Electoral College, subverting it, or abolishing it…

Whether this would lead to Civil War II or would depend on the tone of the campaign and the mood of the country, I think.

  3. I think the reason we keep giving ME countries aid is to try to maintain enough of the status quo such that oil keeps flowing to us AND that our currency maintains “international reserve” status.

  4. Petro-Dollars (forcing everyone who wants to by ME oil in US dollars) is something that ties our currency to some real assets (a little like tying currency to precious metals). It’s not exactly the same, since we don’t posses the oil, BUT since we have provided Saudi Arabia and related countries with a “nuclear umbrella” and act as a defense to perpetuate the reigns of the current leadership in these countries, then there is a sense in which we “own” these assets: developed nations NEED oil, and because of our “special arrangement” they NEED dollars to buy it.

This is why Iran and Venezuela are trying to break the OPEC-Dollar connection: If they can make it possible for nations to get their oil without using US dollars, the dollar will likely collapse because then the dollar will *really* depend on the “faith and trust” of the US government (which I imagine nobody trusts anymore – why should they? We betray our allies, spend what we don’t have, and are now “devaluing” our currency).

  5. I had a bad link in that article about what really might have happened on the Bin Laden take down that Obama took credit for, so you guys might want to read it.

  6. Re the articles linked above: if our president was actually overruled, THAT’S going generate some very interesting fallout. I wonder if it’s actually; it would certainly seem more like the Obama we have come to know, that he would vacillate even more than Carter. Amazing…
