Koenig’s perspectives on Bible prophecy and world issues Apr 2012

There hasn’t been much change in the big world picture since last month. The big march on Jerusalem that many Arabs nations were supposed to participate in did not even make the major news medias. That proves that hate indoctrination only goes so far as a motivator. Most Arabs in the Middle East only really care about Jerusalem if there is some payoff for them.

Assad will not be leaving Syria anytime soon despite what the Obama Administration said. No one wants to take on Syria because Assad has Russian and Chinese backing. Nothing would get through the UN, and I do not think NATO will go it alone with Russia threatening a response if they should do so. If NATO moves against Syria or Iran, I expect Russia to respond in Georgia.

The whole Arab spring uprising is pretty uncertain. At the very least it will take the Islamic Brotherhood several years before it overthrows the secular dictators with their well-funded armies. Perhaps God laughs at the Arab Confederacy in Psalm 83, because He knows that even though they conspire together to try to cut off Israel from being a nation, Arab nations will actually end up fighting against each other. It is pretty hilarious to expect Arab unity on anything.

Even Hezbollah is now saying that they might not get involved if there is an attack on Iran. Arabs have no love for Iran, they just wanted their money and weapons, and with the sanctions on Iran much of that is being cut off.

Most of the Islamic nations from Africa to Pakistan are made up of tribes that do not trust each other. The national borders of these nations are not even on tribal lines or Islamic Shiite or Sunni lines, so internal wars are more likely than not within this entire area. If the West would just get out-of-the-way the armies of these nations would pretty much destroy each other. Even the Palestinian factions can’t get along with each other.

All eyes in Asia and the US will be on North Korea this month. Apparently N. Korea is about to have a long-range missile test. Japan and South Korea say they will shoot it down if it come over their airspace. I have doubts that Japan or S. Korea even have the capability to do that. Nothing changes with North Korea the nation is really run by the military. They have played the war threat card to help get food and fuel to the elite and the troops for decades; meanwhile the brainwashed common people starve; such is life under “socialism”.

Main Stream media continues to be the mouth peace for Obama and his thugs. What Obama said to the Supreme Court is amazing, coming from someone who claims to be a constitutional scholar. Obama says it would be an unprecedented action for the Supreme Court to overthrow a congressional law as unconstitutional. However, the very reason we have a Supreme Court is to review laws as to their constitutionality. They rule against laws all the time. I guess this want-to-be Dictator-in-Chief never learned the law in law school? I have to wonder if Obama got through law school and taught constitutional law by reading off a teleprompter? Even Obama’s Attorney General had to do damage control on the veiled threat that was directed to try to influence the Supreme Court decision on the constitutionality of Obamacare.

The race baiters were out in force last week trying to make a lone Latino using self-defense into a white war on blacks. MSM even deliberated edited the 911 call to make it sound like it was an issue of race when it was not. The evidence was so strong that it was an issue of self-defense that the police did not even arrest the defender that shot the person that was attacking him. The usual racists then flew in and spun the truth and the MSM helped them promote their lies. Even Obama once again chimed in with inappropriate remarks before finding out the facts of the case. Some of these race baiters should have been charged with trying to provoke riots. Instead they will get a pass, and they will continue to stir up trouble at every opportunity. These are evil people.

Meanwhile, nobody in MSM is covering the black mobs in our inner cities that are running wild attacking people at will. Even the local media will not dare say the word “black”. Things are only going to get worse as we head into the warmer months. The color of one’s skin does not make people evil but their upbringing does. When kids in the cities are brought up by government plantation women, hoods and drug thugs there is going to be trouble in River City.

The Department of Homeland Security must be expecting a lot of trouble in River City. They are buying a half billion rounds of ammunition and bullet resistant checkpoint booths. It seems that there is a new revelation a month that indicates that the government is preparing to physically control Americans within the next few years through national police actions. I suppose they are preparing for expected terrorism or the inevitable economic breakdown, but you know how that goes – when those in control think that terrorism comes from conservatives that cling to their guns and religion and the Constitution.

I know some will want information on my decision to close comments on World and Church Trends and Bible Prophecy. Do you think many people even cared? From the response I got, I have to say no. It has been one week since I closed the comments and closing the comments generated a total of seven emails to me addressing that subject. Almost all thought it was wise for me to close the comments. None said they would now stop reading my posts.

The response verifies what I already knew; most people do not read the comments. Some of the regulars do, but they tend to want to chat with each other like it was a bulletin board forum. New visitors hardly ever read the comments, but sometimes they will comment and bring up the same arguments that have already been addressed. If you still think a lot of people read comments on articles, just ask yourself how often you read most of the comments on articles that you come across when looking for information on a topic.

Since closing comments page views for the blog are down about 25 percent, but page views for the whole website are not down much at all. Unique visitors to the website are actually up this week. The regulars that were reading and making comments were counted as page views each time they came to the blog to view or make a follow-up comment and even my own visits to respond would also be counted as page views for the website. So the reason for the drop in page views has everything to do with comments that were made, and nothing to do with people reading my articles. As I said, I now have more visitors than ever on the website. If new people do not get bogged down in comments they are more likely to take the time to click on another article.

With that in mind, I did change a few other things to keep people on the site longer, or to get people to the site:

  • I now list the top one hundred hit on posts on the blog sidebar. They are in order of the number of views.
  • I now have an excerpt of the article below the related post links.
  • I have allowed five related post links with brief excerpts to be displayed on the RSS feed.
  • I put the top 10 hit on articles from my main site on the blog sidebar (They are in alphabetical order not rank order)

I have also made it easier for people to find my email address from the top bar under “Don” and the message ticker tells people the best way to search for information on this website.
