I first wrote this article about the dangers of an economic collapse caused by world debt about ten years ago. Since that time I have updated the article on a few occasions. My last update was in 2009 after the 2008 collapse. I just want to let you know that I just updated that article once again for 2011.
This article still averages over 5000 page views a month due to its ranking under certain keywords in Google. It gets more hits when it looks like another financial crises is about to hit us. With the debt crises going on in Europe the traffic to that article is stronger than average this month and if the European powers do not come to some agreement on Greece within the next week it could get heavy. In fact, I can pretty much determine the level of fear in the world about a debt default or economic crises by the number of views I get on that article.
This article is just one in a 25 article series on world current events and Bible prophecy. The index page for this series was actually my original website for a few years.
Today I started an on-going project to go through that whole 25 article series and see what needs to be updated. Keep in mind that this whole series was first written ten years ago. So far, I have updated the index page and the first three articles.
I think I got 1000 views in the whole first year of 2000 and half of the views were mine. The website now gets that many page views in a few hours. It took me two or three years to even get Google to put my website in their index. There were not free sites or blogs back then that would help publish your articles on the Internet. Up until that point the only way people found these articles was through business cards that I handed out to people and through word of mouth. It was and is a long ongoing road to keep visitors coming to this website.
Anyway, here is the update of the article on world debt. That article month after month is one of the top viewed articles on this website. If you have not already checked out the other 25 articles in that series you might want to do that. This whole series is really about how world trends all correlate to indicate that we are in the prophetic years (thus the name of this website).

The problem I have with views like that is that they think everything will be put in place by the elite and then the Antichrist will come. It is more likely to be quite the opposite. All the schemes of such men will totally fail and then the Antichrist will come like a god with all the answers. They have the cart before the horse because they want to see end time events in everything before the time.
I do not think global government gets any real power in the world before the Antichrist. I think the two prophets come after a war with Israel and people in the world get their jaws really really tight because they do not like what they are saying and doing and they cannot stop them. So the world will be wide open for counter-figures (Antichrist and False prophet) to appear and give them the promise of the permissive lawless world that they want. Even that fails when they all start fighting each other.
Point is, We are nowhere near a global government yet. The world once again is now going in the other direction. We will have a very difficult time even holding this nation together. Even the elite are starting to say that the New World Order that they tried to put together has failed.
Only after a great war of kingdom against kingdom followed by a seven year covenant with Israel and the many, do we see the Beast and it will be set up to try to prevent anything like these prior religious wars from happening again in the world.
But even the Beast will fail to unite the world. There is only one man that will ever rule this planet with unity and peace and that is the Lord Jesus and that is why He is called the Prince of Peace.
I agree Don. The Anti-Christ is going to be the ‘man on the scene’ that will put all of the ‘pieces’ in the right places. That includes, economically, politically, and religiously. The only thing I don’t see happening is a Middle Eastern war involving Israel. I also see world leaders clamoring for more ‘cooperation’ to deal with the world’s economic problems. It’s possible we may see the U.S. or Israel do something about Iran in the near future though. But right now Turkey is just rattling their sabres to impress the Arabs.
Either way, I’m glad I won’t be here to witness the rise of the Anti-Christ to power ! 😉

I agree that world events rise and fall like the tide and the final world kingdom may be some years away, but there is a Kingdom in place when Anti Christ takes control (Daniel 7:24) and it is possible that these elitists are being used to set the foundations.
The history behind the article shows it has taken many many decades to get to where they are now; in context what’s another decade or two.

I think with all the elite bashing which also tends to be antisemitic what some are really doing is setting the foundations for the next Jewish persecution. Bankers and especially Jewish bankers are rapidly becoming the next world scapegoat for all of the world’s problems. One central theme in all these recent riots and mob actions around the world it that they are all antisemitism. Go on these Illuminati conspiracy sites and you will see much the same thing.
The Antichrist can set up his own foundations. Remember he claims to be God and he has all his angels with Him. This will be like an advanced race from another dimension or world taking over the planet. It will be a peace of cake. Keep in mind that the Antichrist could have come in the first century if the restrainer was removed so it is not likely that modern foundations have to be lain for him to arrive. The Beast kingdom comes when the Beast/Antichrist comes.
Yes, Daniel 7:24 says that there will be ten kings but the Roman Empire fourth beast that Daniel mentioned has been in power since the Roman Empire and nobody even knows how the ten kings or ten toes come to power in these last days or what that means. Is it 10 nations, 10 zones in the area of the old Roman Empire or ten world zones, or none of the above? It can happen in a flash in a world crises.
Don’t get me wrong there are signs of the end times all around us but I don’t think it is taking Satan 2000 years to set up his plan to take over the world. He was fully prepared to put his man in charge at the time of Jesus, in fact he offered it all to Jesus. Satan was also fully prepared to put the Antichrist in charge shortly after Jesus was cut off. So he will just do it, he does not need a human conspiracy.
My concern is that many Christians are falling into a hate trap by talking about a Satanic cabal of humans bringing in the Antichrist.

The Bible says, rebellion is as witchcraft. However, not all rebellion is bad. Rebellion to throw off tyranny is good while rebelling because life just isn’t working out for you is not good. I do believe the occupy rebellion falls into the witchcraft catagory. The antisemitic component further confirms the witchcraft suspicion. Antisemitism is the signature of satan. Witchcraft is definitely a satanic activity.

Either you did not read the article, or you merely skimmed it, but you clearly didn’t grasp the very logical point laid out. I read the article. I was not saying that your article was antisemitic at all.
My first comment was in regards to such views as you expressed in your article that the elite intend to purposely crash the system, bring in globalism and then the Antichrist will come. I think you have the cart before the horse and I explained why in my comment. I also do not think we are quite as close to the end as all that.
I have been hearing this same line for three decades about elitists causing an economic crash to bring in globalism. It was supposed to take place before the year 2000 according to those preaching this line in the 80’s, some even claimed to be Illuminati insiders. I guess the elitists granted the world an extension.
My comment about antisemitism was in answer to Brian and it was not about your article at all. It was about the antisemitism that I see interwoven in illuminate conspiracy and elitist banker conspiracy theories and the mob actions that we now see taking place around the world. I have looked into the Illuminati conspiracy sites and yes, antisemitism abounds. Guys like George Soros don’t help their cause either. But the Tri-lateral Commission and the Rockefellers, et al do exist out in the open and use global platforms to push global agendas (Agenda 21, Carbon Tax Credits, Law of the Sea) as means to cement control.
My whole point, is that what is perceived as failure in the system, is only ever used to get more control. Pat Buchanan sees an end to America, which you and I do as well, I just see as being orchestrated as a means to an end. You see it as the result of an EMP attack or something similar. Either way, the US is only around in bible prophecy as such as to be free grab bag to build up NATO (the architecture and prototype) for his eventual military might.

I think a lot of people like Soros are really Edomites. Their ancient ancestors were forced to convert to Judaism but they never believed in the God of Israel that is why they are all reformed Jews or atheists (same thing).
I do not think that elitists have the power to orchestrated a means to a socialist globalist world order and they would not have agreement among themselves about even how to even bring that about.
Your article was well written from your point of view. I simply do not see it that way so I guess we will have to agree to disagree on how it will all shake out. I think the push for globalism is now failing. Like Pat Bauchanan said, we are now seeing rising tribalism in the world which really is rising nationalism. The NWO of George H.W. Bush has failed.
It is starting to look like just before the second world war. Globalism is failing across the world. The globalists are losing control and they know it. They are in panic mode and they do not have a clue how to stabilize the economic system other than to throw more money at it. I do not think they are doing this to crash the system. I agree with Pete’s take on the current global financial situation. The global elites have used fiat currency (printed money) to weaken the developed nations all in the name of multiculturalism and globalism. Their plan all along has been to bring the “developing nations” up to meet the “developed nations” as they fall in stature. The only way to accomplish this was/is through inflating currencies and weakening the developed nation’s economies. This is a major reason why the founders of this country explicitly stated that money was to be “coined” and not printed.
The globalists are not in “panic mode”. Things are going according to their plan.

I do not disagree with much that was said in that article but that does not make it all true either.
Nobody is denying that some of the elite have been working for multiculturalism and globalism.
There is a difference between saying that some of the global elite want that and that they also want to transfer the wealth between countries and to say they are conspiring to destroy the world economic system so the elite (bankers) can control the world for Satan.
Even the elite of Europe have said that multiculturalism has failed and now some are saying the NWO agreed on during the George H.W. Bush era has failed.
You cannot even find agreement in globalist organizations like the CFR about how the world should now proceed. I think it is clear that globalism is now losing ground to tribalism just like Pat Bauchanan wrote about, you can see it happening all over the world. You are going to see many more nations break up and I would not rule out that this nation will also break up.

I read the article earlier today, It does give the OCCUPY people something to protest. All tax loopholes should be trashed as they do allow ONLY the RICH to get RICHER at the expense of the honest taxpayers. Did you see or hear about the 60 Minutes report on Pelosi and Boehner ?

The article is not very honest because it gives its own slant to make it look like the government is wasting tax money here. All those tax breaks are there for a very good reason and you cannot discriminate between one land owner and the next just because one is rich and famous.
The article talks about millionaires but it fails to mention that anyone that owns a farm large enough to make a meager living has to have a farm worth over a million dollars in land value.
Also the suggesting that the government subsides gamblers for $20 billion is totally dishonest and ridiculous. Government taxes all gambling winnings over loses but most gamblers lose and they can only write off their loses against their winnings. Then on top of that government taxes the lotteries, casinos, race tracks etc., so that lowers payouts for betters so that is really a tax on the gambler. So believe me government is getting more than their fair share of something they should not even be involved in. People who gamble already paid tax money on the money that they earned somewhere. If you gamble in the stock market and lose you can deduct all your loses. The few that win in gambling should not be taxed since when they lose in other years they cannot deduct those losses but yet the high rollers at the derivative casinos and stockmarkets can.

I read the title of an article about Pelosi and her possible investment scandal but didn’t read further…I didn’t see a point in reading about someone who is in power and keeps getting re-elected despite her…it doesn’t apply to me, only you middle class taxpayer people…attitude.

Maybe a smaller tax for REAL businesses, and getting government out of the way (with their tariff and regulations) could stimulate job growth…but of course, that wouldn’t happen.
Seems our government is more concerned with regulating sports…their latest affair with the NFL and HGH testing is another case of government sticking their nose in a place that it doesn’t belong if you ask me.
Really though, I think any solution (valid or not) is like giving a crew member a bucket to bail out a ship sinking rapidly.

Yeah, the EPA is another one that can’t even regulate itself, let alone others.
Seems to me that abolishing many of these government powers that kill jobs in this country would be optimum.
I’m not saying there shouldn’t be regulations and laws, yes there should be…but these government agencies are a big reason why companies have outsourced and whole operations are now overseas.

I think the evidence is enormously strong that democratically elected governments need to have greater control over their national currencies, not less. The “independence” of a privately owned central bank means economic policies which benefit the private bank’s shareholders, rather than the people of the nation. Central banks that are privately owned – that is, controlled by large corporations or small groups of financial elites – tend to damage national economies while benefiting the financial elite, and more critically, undermine all ability of democratic governments to hold real power on behalf of the people, giving power to the bankers and corporations, and removing effective power from parliament or Congress.
