Chuck Colson says Christians cannot defend their faith

I agree with the spirit of Chuck Colson’s quoted statement but lets look at the issue and at what Colson said and did not say a little more closely.

The main reason “Christians” cannot defend their faith is because most of them are not Christians at all. They have no faith other than some faith in fulfilling some man-made religious requirements that they believe will make them righteous with God.

People privatize their faith because they believe that have nothing to offer anyone and they are largely correct.

Many true believers will not talk about their faith because they know they are biblically illiterate and that they cannot intelligently talk about Christian doctrine.continue reading

Here’s mud in your eye–God

When they allow this abomination in the city that God choose to put his name do we really need to wonder why Israel will be attacked by enemies? They are doing the same things that they did before God threw them out of the land. God has not changed and the godless leaders of Israel never learn.

BBC NEWS Middle East Jerusalem braced for gay parade: “A controversial Gay Pride parade is to march through Jerusalem later today with an expected 5,000 participants. “

Newton tries to figure out truth using allegory

Newton was wrong because he took prophecy allegorically. Had he taken it literally he would have known that the 1260 times in Daniel were days and not years since it tells us in scripture about a period of 42 months and 3 1/2 years. Both add up to 1260 days and complement what is said by Daniel. Also if Newton would have properly understood Daniel’s prophecies about a seven year covenant involving Israel that was broken in the midst he would have known that they were days.

Newton is also wrong about the Apocalypse not coming before 2060 AD. It most likely will.continue reading

Truth replaced by pluralism

Berit brilliantly exposes the interfaith movement for what it really is. It is apostasy from the only true gospel and its way of salvation through Jesus Christ alone. It is replaced by an all inclusive world religion where everyone worships the God that man invents with his own mind.

Pentecost was not a legend it was a reality. Pentecost did not reverse the error of Babel because Babel is rising again in the world today among unbelievers in movements like the interfaith agenda. Pentecost is for believers who enter into the body of Christ and the new covenant. Those that were indwelt by the Holy Spirit at Pentecost had to turn from worshiping false gods and believe that Jesus was the only way to God.continue reading

Turkey is becoming an Islamist state

This is something to watch because Turkey is one of the nations to come against Israel in the war of Ezekiel 38 and 39. All the the other nations near Israel that come with Gog are already Islamic and see Israel as the common enemy.

Will Turkey become an Islamist state? Jerusalem Post: “Turkey, the world’s prime example of a mainly Muslim country as a secular democratic state, may be losing that status. For the first time, a member of an Islamic party stands poised to win the presidency. And the upcoming parliamentary elections are likely to result in yet another victory for the Islamic-oriented government.

Hank Hanegraff thinks premillennialism is a fad that has run its course

I received this email about Hank Hanegraff I thought it might be of interest to some.

I first would like to thank you for your very informative and skillfully created website. I find it a very useful tool for defending the faith. I live in Wisconsin in the Milwaukee county area and can listen to Hank Hanegraff radio show on my drive home from work. I find him palatable when he is not talking about the End Times. Unfortunately today (4/17/07) he was promoting another new book on his Preterist views. I was about to change the station when he began telling a story about a man in South Carolina that gave up his faith because he believed Jesus was a false Prophet based on the prophecy that this Generation will not pass away.… continue reading

Imam Mahdi to reappear in Mecca?

I am betting that it will never happen except in the delusion of certain people’s minds.

Iran: Mahdi will defeat archenemy in Jerusalem – News from Israel, Ynetnews: “A triumphal religious prophecy has appeared on an Iranian official state media website, heralding the return of the Shiite messiah.

According to the website, ‘Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance) will appear all of a sudden on the world scene with a voice from the skies announcing his reappearance at the holy Ka’ba in Mecca.’

The Islamic Republic of Iran broadcasting (IRIB) website said in a program called ‘The World Towards Illumination,’ that the Mahdi will reappear in Mecca and form an army to defeat Islam’s enemies in a series of apocalyptic battles, in which the Mahdi will overcome his archvillain in Jerusalem”… continue reading

British believe religion is bad

The British have a history of believing lies before reality kicks them in the pants.

British poll: Religion does more harm than good – News from Israel, Ynetnews: “Eighty-two percent of people in Britain believe that religious faith causes tension in the country, while two-thirds of the resident state that they do not believe in religion, a new poll published Saturday by the British Guardian newspaper revealed.

The road map into insanity

It now looks like there will be a cease fire and foreign troops will occupy the border of Lebanon. As if that will really solve anything.

I really have to wonder what the point of the war really was? I guess it was to make Israel appear weak and to destroy the infrastructure of Lebanon to stir up more hatred against Israel in the world.

The liberals in control of Israel just made a few thousand Hezbollah look like a formidable foe against Israel. The terrorists have just proved to all Moslems that Israel does not have the leadership or the will to take any decisive military action.… continue reading

The real short term solution in the Middle East might be to bomb Iran

Things are getting rather dangerous in the Middle East. It looks like Israel will now be at war with the terrorist groups until the terrorist groups are significantly weakened or this war escalates into a war with Syria and Iran.

I think God only knows what will really happen. Israel right now will probably only attempt to bring about the significant weakening of these terrorists groups so she can allow the creation of the Palestinian State. The majority of Israeliā€™s have bought into the view that this is the only solution for peace.

If Syria or Iran does something stupid, Israel and the U.S.… continue reading

Christian identity

Some of the evils in the Christian patriot movement:

Much of the patriot movement disrespects government leaders and authority that scripture says were put there by God. We are told to pray for our leaders, we are not to make railing accusations

Christian patriots are told to arm themselves and to be prepared to fight the new world order while scripture says that we are to be peaceful and willing to go like sheep to the slaughter

Christian patriots are told that they are not required to pay there taxes but scripture tells us we are to support the government put over us as the government requires.… continue reading
